	Dinner's over and I'm working my way up to getting the battle started. Then I need to figure out how to clean up the mess the alteration of the situation left behind while getting the story to where I want it to be. Oh well, there's time. This is Book 3 after all!

	Afternoon! The storms petered out to nothing by the time that they got here so I got my beauty sleep last night. We went to the Children's Museum today but discovered as we pulled up to the road that someone had hit the Guest House mailbox last night. It wasn't the usual vandalism. Someone hit it hard enough to shatter the post (one of those wooden 4 x 4 jobs) and destroy the mailbox. sigh Something else that will need to be replaced. We have the A/C turned off at the moment and the doors open. It's about 71 degrees, low humidity and a nice breeze so we're airing the house out. We plan to take the van to the shop in a little while and leave it for them to find in the morning. [Yes, we can do that.] So that will be one thing off of the "To Do" list for next week. Right now, this girl needs some tea! Later.

	We got the van to the shop. It took about 45 minutes to go 7 miles but we got there without major incident. We've been back for a while and I'm going to hit the kitchen and get dinner started. I'm starving and I'm probably not the only one!

	Got dinner done, finally. Sitting here IMing with Rudy. It will be back to Chapter 5 tomorrow. Some ideas are beginning to take shape however slowly. I need to another way to get where I ended up in the original. So I'm making like Winnie the Pooh and doing the "think, think, think" thing.

	Morning! Just heard from the auto shop. The brakes are shot. I won't bore you with technical details. It is sufficient to say that it's gonna cost about $700 give or take to replace everything that's gouged, worn out, leaking and rusted. sigh All this before my tea.....

	Caught up on things online and I have tea. I may live! I bought 4 pairs of jeans yesterday: 2 pairs for Spirit, 1 pair for Moonie and 1 pair for me. They are a brand we haven't worn before so I didn't really stock up on them. Moonie's fit (skinny little thing that she is the size 4s are a bit big in the waist but fit everywhere else.), Spirit's didn't fit and neither did mine, by mine fit Spirit so I only have to return the two pairs I bought for her which no one can wear at present. Don't when we'll be back in town but the jeans are bagged and the receipt is in my wallet. Now I need a bite to eat... Later. Post # 15,700

	I just ordered another knee brace so I can have one for each knee. I had a little pain in my right knee yesterday and the joint was popping this morning so I figured that I'd go ahead and get it. It's really helped my left knee which was in very bad shape and I don't want my right knee to get that bad. So I will shortly have a brace for both knees to wear while I'm exercising or running errands. The braces might not look every stylish but I can walk so I don't care. And they are a lot less noticeable than a wheelchair which is where I was afraid that I was headed!

	Had my walk, did some laundry and now I'm YaHooing with Nike. Talking about travel possibilities when I start doing book promotion. I wanna stick with ground transport so I'm going to need a driver or two and an RV sounds nice....

	Morning. It's too damned early. We met with an insurance man this morning. We're getting new policies so we can keep our payments reasonable so we had all that foolishness to do through. The medical tests will be arranged some time in the next week. Need tea...

	sigh We didn't get the van. The main road into town was closed and after going over the detour, Skywise didn't want me driving it. That was good 'cause I wasn't looking forward to driving it either! The "ROAD CLOSED" sign was gone by the time we got back to where it had been so we're assuming that the repairs are done. We'll get it tomorrow morning after a full night's sleep -- which neither of us got last night and by mid-morning tomorrow there should be less traffic to deal with. And now, since I'm wanting to take a stout 2 x 4 and inflict serious damage to the local Wal-Mart, I'm going to get some tea and think calm thoughts......

	I think I've figured out how to get certain information into Our Heroine's hands. At least, I'm working on it. I'll see how it goes. I figure that I can have Book 2 proofed and corrected and Book 3 almost done in eight weeks. Having those goals SHOULD be enough to get me through without losing my mind...

	Afternoon. Home sweet home. In more ways than one. We got the van home before the skies opened up. We went back to town to get a new post for the Guest House mailbox and it started to rain while we were there. That is when we discovered that there were no umbrellas in the van. sigh Skywise and I got wet as we went from one place to another looking for a post. Naturally, there are none in town. We'll be going into Greenwood tomorrow. With the number of home improvement stores around there, we "should" be able to find one! And Spirit will have her Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets tomorrow which was the plan except that we'd be getting them in Floral Gulch.. And from now on, the only place I will publicize an opinion is here and I'll very likely put it in a restricted area. No where else is really safe, at least not for me. sigh

	I'm listening to my favorite belly dance playlist in the hopes of lifting my mood. I took a nap which helped some. I haven't gotten a full night's sleep all week what with one thing and another and I'll be hitting the deck probably before I want to in the morning since we're still looking for a post for the Guest House mailbox that got busted late on Saturday night. sigh Good thing the letter carrier knows to put the mail for that address in our box. I'm yawning. I hope I can hold out until 3:30..... Later.

	Morning! I finally got a full night's sleep. I went to bed directly after my last post and woke up just long enough to assure Skywise that I was just exhausted and NOT sick when he came home last night! I feel much better today and I'm gonna go see about some tea! Later.
