since malachite has copper in it . it is linked to venus. so malachite can be employed by any problems or spellwork relating to venus. also is used in earth and water based spellworks as well.

Also used for weight loss. and for luck. also used for detoxification.

also good for success, business, health and prosperty. also used for protectin and if it cracks or splits in two, it's a warning that danger is approaching. also sometimes the color will appear to fade instead of cracking. This stone is a soft stone and can break easily which probably gave rise to the shattering tales.
can be employed in psychic awareness. since it can absorb negativity it can also reflect it back.

This opaque stone resolves repressed emotions and promotes understanding of ourselves and our fellow human beings. It becomes a mirror of our soul, allowing us to discover our concealed self and our problems. Malachite can also help us work through sad experiences.A piece kept in your wallet or purse will help you to spend money wisely.

It also calms you down.It draws out negativity and reflects the feelings of the wearer. It was used as a talisman for children to keep evil spirits away and babies slept soundly when it was attached to the crib. Malachite-heals and balances the whole mind/body system. Used in the treatment of cholera, vertigo, colic, growths, tumors, and internal aiments. Aids fuction of pancreas and spleen. Good for eye infections, toothaches, asthma, broken bones, torn muscles, menstrual disorders, and rheumatism. Said to represent fidelity in love and friendship, loyalty in partnership and practicality and responsibility in business transactions.

some people might get sick and/or depressed from it.

Native americans use it as a healing stone.

a supposedly sacred stone of Egypt. Ancient Egyptians carved it with images of the sun and used it as an amulet against necromancers, witches, and demons. In the Egyptian Book of the Dead it said that Nut,goddess of the sky"drops stars on the earth in the shape of green stones".

a good stone for Virgos and capricorns.

since malachite has copper in it, it is therefore not recommended for use in exlirs. Most people in writeups cover their butts by stating it is poisonous and should wear a mask when tumbling this stone and it is. As such one should keep in mind that this applies mostly to people who tumble/process large amounts on a somewhat regular basis. Tumbling a few specimens once a year will not have adverse side-effects if one were to hang around the tumbler and breath in any odd particals. also some people will also state to use only the polished specimens and not a raw piece. while other people will not use it at all in elixirs. the choice is up to you. i used a polished piece in an elixir once and had no side effects. however i only used it once and will not intend to do so again.
