Since hooking up with the bloke 7 years ago I have been immersed in uk accents because it's not just him - he was born in Kingsbury and raised in London, but his mother is from British Guyana - so her's is a melodic Carribean/British accent.  His aunt and uncle spent more time in Guyanna so their accents are much more Caribbean plus he is always playing uk music, tv shows, radio, movies so I understand most of them now.  Still can't understand him when he mumbles though.  I also think the Sri Lankin accent is delightful.  We have so many different cultures represented where I live now( because of Maple Leaf bringing in people to work here at the plant).  I love how "musical" most languages are.   Smiley 

In MB most of our utilities and services are mainly crown corporations or recently (last 15 years) been privatized so our customer service is mainly based within province.  It may also be because we have a central basically neutral accent here that most people have no problem understanding which is why there is alot of telephone work here.. well there was.  Not much csr work available outside of Winnipeg and I refuse to go into sales again.  I hate badgering people.  Besides I used to get in trouble for actually helping people and even helping lower their bills.

I'm currently trying out my brand new counter top convection oven... So far, it's working BEAUTIFULLY!!  Smiley

Yay for perfectly working Christmas presents. Skywise got me some perfume which I've been wearing.  I don't normally wear perfume but I'm making an exception for this!

It must smell wonderful Penth! I don't wear perfume either, due to my own allergies and other people's environmental allergies... I sometimes wear a softly scented body mist but only if I know I won't be around people sensitive to scents.

That's so typical of kittehs... My youngest BIL says his three cats sound like a herd of elephants when they zoom around the house at night!!  Smiley

Amber walking along the kitchen or bathroom floor sounds like there's someone human sized walking around.... She's that chubby!! Shocked

sooo i gave in and died my hair, but...i let my mom pick the dye. she swears my roots are brown so she bought me a light golden brown color dye. when i got out of the shower it looked more of a dark auburn i havent looked in the mirror yet again but its still wet so prolly wont look much different

Morning everyone!

I'm around for a little bit then I'll be taking off to get some writing done today... Hubby will be running errands all day long while Son is in school so guess who is going to take advantage of the peace and quiet???? Cheesy

I have something for the "adorable" books today... Last night I was watching a show on the Cutest Cats videos on one of the specialty channels. For most of it, Amber was snoozing away on the one chair until about 10 minutes before the show ended. She sat up, stretched and was washing her pretty face when a clip of a cat "talking" (chattering) came on... She stopped washing herself and started staring at the TV with her eyes WIDE open!! Then she proceeded to watch the rest of the show, hardly ever taking her eyes off of the TV screen!!!  Smiley Seeing her do that was just as adorable as the kitties on the set... I wish I had my own camera handy to take video of it but Noelle was snoozing on my lap at the time and I didn't want to disturb her, she gets pretty darn snarky when I move her off my lap!!

Anyway I'm going to quickly get caught up before the guys leave for the day. I'm around for about an hour or two (while I finish waking up!) then I'll be offline to have a quick walk (if I don't freeze my tush off, the windchill is -15F out there!) and to write until Son gets home from school.... Cheesy

I have Untitled #7's Main Manuscript file open and am trying to decide where I should expand on Chapter 2's "foundation"... Hmm..............

Today is J's 21st birthday.  He is well on his way to totally wasted.  And also lamenting the fact that now that he's 21, he can't drink like he used to LMAO
