The windows are open and the heat is off... It's about 60F out there, it's nice to see it that warm after yesterday's high of about 40F............. Shocked

I had a HUGE piece of dialogue in my head for a part of #7... I went to type it up quickly and of course, my Son heard the fingers on the the keyboard and saw me trying to think... So he started screaming and jumping up and down!!

We're back. We were delayed in leaving because the SunLord was outside, on the roof and he was NOT inclined to come down. Skywise went up after him to no avail. I'm not sure how she did it but Spirit finally got his furry hindquarters in the house and we were able to finally get out of here.

I am now gonna pop up to the Guest House put the 1st and 3rd color on the spacers. It shouldn't take long since the design on the spacers is less complicated than it is on the corner pieces. If you get the feeling I'm wanting to get this project done, you're right. I still have the trim to paint (a bit less than 6 feet of it) and it is gonna be a [censored] to do but worth it when it's done. But expect a certain amount of complaining while I'm doing it!

And I have returned again! Like I said, the design on the spacers is a lot simpler to paint than the one on the corner blocks which is why I was able to put two colors on them at the same time. I'll put the second coat of the 3rd color on the corner blocks tonight and start outlining the design with the 4th color tomorrow. Smiley I'll put the second coat of colors 1 and 3 on the spacers tomorrow morning and, hopefully, the first coat of #2 tomorrow afternoon. More Smiley I don't know how much time I'll have to work on it once Skywise's vacation starts next Saturday, so I want to get as much of the "detail work" done as I can before then.

When I was a child, the peonies in the front yard bloomed in late May, in time for Memorial Day.

Today, as we were pulling into the driveway, I saw that they have already started blooming -- a month earlier than they did during my childhood and two weeks earlier than they did last year.

I'm up to Chapter 5 in Book 2. I've been making some minor changes and have lost another page off of the total page count. The problem is, besides the fact that it is after 1 am in the morning and a line of thunderstorms is heading this way, is that I keep starting to cry as I read through the book. Knowing what happens does NOT keep me from being affected by what I wrote. So I'm going to take my damp and worn out eyeballs to bed.

Morning everyone... It's not quite 6 a.m. here and it's close to dawn here... The eastern sky is lit up with pinks and orange, it's pretty out there today so far.

Son has school today and Hubby will probably be running errands... After he has a nap. He didn't get to bed until after 2 last night so he's pretty darn tired, poor fella. I'll probably try to sneak in some editing or even writing time if things are quiet here at all today.

Time to get caught up and dive into the coffee... I'm here for a couple of hours before things happen at least. Cheesy

..damned bird...
We had a feline riot this morning that resulted in the top of my dresser -- which is next to the window -- being cleared off as someone made yet another attempt to get the bird. I've been jerked awake so many times in the last two hours I've given up on sleeping. I'm considering setting up a Queen sized bed in the basement just so Skywise and I can actually get more than four hours of sleep of a night....

Other than painting the window black, I have no ideas on what will stop the dratted thing from going after his own reflection... If the darn thing isn't scared of FIVE furballs staring at him, he's beyond NUTS in my mind!! Roll Eyes

I'm here most of the daytime so if you want to sneak in a nap Penth, go for it. I'll probably be deep into #7 at some point (Hubby will be running errands) but I can keep an eye on things while doing that. Wink
