Morning.

I've been in for a few minutes but have been going nuts trying to catch up.

I stayed up late again, writing, and am now finished Chapter 15!!!  Smiley I'm slowly closing that DRATTED gap between where I left off in the Main Manuscript file and the MBEWCA file!!! Smiley When the gap is closed, both that file and what I have written up so far for the second half of the story will be spliced in, meaning the story will REALLY start looking even LONGER than what it does in the main file!! Shocked  Smiley

I'm pooped but it's worth it!! Smiley  Smiley

I'm here for the rest of the daytime... Now to get caught up and get some more COFFEE!!!

Morning Smiley  I am debating making a pot of coffee as it is actually cool enough so far to enjoy it!  I stayed up until 3:30 am here to cool the house, can't leave unlocked doors unattended here, especially after we had another shooting 2 blocks down from us on the 1st.  I did learn the theory behind magic loop 2 at a time socks from youtube.  Now I just have to give it a try!  I got my order from Knitpicks and I can honestly say the cables on their needles are the most flexible and easiest to work with!

I'm a bit annoyed as we bought my oldest a new bike from Can Tire last week and so far it's not holding up very well.  It wasn't cheap either.  Just read the receipt and apparently it's "not returnable". We'll see how "not returnable" it is when the Bloke and I take it up to customer service tomorrow.  I have yet to find something that is truely not returnable after I mention my deep disappointment in the product and how much we normally spend there in a year. I would be happy with store credit as they have Schwinn bikes on sale this week.

Don't get me started on what Hubby calls "Canadian Try and Get it"!! We've had a LOT of problems with the store down here because they don't hire people with knowledge and experience, they hire kids who don't know *BLEEP* about the older stuff out there and go "DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH???" when we ask about it. BLECH!!!

I'm sitting here wondering if I should do another word count on NR, or wait until AFTER I get everything spliced into it after I close the gap in the Main Manuscript....

Ok I won't....  What I can say is that we have a bit of an advantage here in that we have several seniors here who are willing to work at the hardware stores.  Sad thing is that they probably need to work but at least when we have to head out for supplies and advice, we have some knowledgeable options.  We really appreciate them!

Drat, RT. I hate it when a computer dies on someone. Sad

The one I had before this one died in 2008, its motherboard went PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT......... It was cheaper for us to buy a new computer instead of getting a new motherboard, because of all of the stuff we'd have to buy along with it (power box, RAM, etc), so we got a new system. This one is 4 years old and when I see some of the newer systems in Staples or elsewhere, DROOL!!!

Well, I have managed to get it booting, one of the sticks was faulty, but the power supply fan is rattling like an old tractor.  It can't get past the account screen (in xp) and boots fine into a linux live disk.  It's an old Sony Viao and they are really hard to get parts for so I hope I can get this going ok for her.  If I had the money I would buy her a new system, she's had a really crappy year so far.  Bad divorce that is dragging it's self along very slowly and two of her three children still at home are high needs.  I just wanted to brighten their summer a bit by fixing this beast!

It's not expected to hit until July 7th 0600 GMT (tomorrow night 10PM EDT), so no.

Not yet that is.

But, it should make that much of a difference anyway, it was an M6 (letter1-10).  Four grades stronger then we would need to worry.

So Facebook is just being a PITA then. It might have something to do with the fact that I haven't switched over to timeline yet. The pages I'm having trouble with -- including fan pages and business pages -- are pages that have Timeline and that are not on my "friends list." Pages that still aren't using Timeline are loading just fine even if they aren't "friends".

Skywise says we should be good but I'll still double check over the weekend just to be sure.

I agree. Timeline is a PITA and I won't convert to it until I have to. I'm stubborn like that. And I agree. With the problems I've had getting it to load the code probably is a mess! I think that they are still fixing problems with it since I'll go to a page one day and the next day the whole thing has been rearranged....

The old style profile in FB loads with NO problems on my dial up internet. Timeline, however, is a COMPLETELY different story. Sometimes it loads perfectly fine and quickly, others... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.......................

It's really fun trying to load the pages one owns on the dial up too.... Sometimes it takes forever even with the cache on the accelerated dial up... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...................
