Yes cats are so adorable when they flirt!! Amber especially so because of her big tummy... I just want to kiss it when she rolls around like that!! Cheesy Fortunately, she's pretty laid back and although she doesn't like a lot of tummy kisses, she'll let me do it...

Well, we have blue skies for the moment, although there are some clouds approaching from the west but I'm not sure if they're thunderclouds or not right now. I'll keep an eye out every few minutes.

The forcast keeps saying thunder showers here yet it doesn't deliver, we have been averaging about 97F with the humidex for the past 5 days now, (the worst day was 104)  The Bloke is on a 7 day stretch so we haven't gotten the AC in downstairs here yet :S  We're going to give it a shot tonight though if he's not too tired.  It's a massive thing and he's the only one who can carry it!   So if you don`t hear from me for a bit it`s probably because I`m a puddle on the floor waiting for a cold wind to resurrect me Tongue

I just changed my cover pic on my main (real name) page... I may be Canadian (and proud to be one!) but I have a LOT of family in the States, notably Hubby's cousins in the Boston area and my own distant cousins around North Carolina. Cheesy

Afternoon.
I've been here for a while but between cats fighting, kids fighting, kids crying and needing to pay some bills, I've been a little swamped. Smiley Things have FINALLY settled down somewhat so I can sit down and actually make a post that is longer than two sentences! *sigh* It's too hot now to let the cats out -- we had to go into town to get some last minute things for the 4th -- and they are NOT happy about having to stay inside, hence the feline fighting. I'm gonna have to keep my rolled up newspaper handy today...

I'm here now too... I wasn't needed as a second driver but Hubby wanted me to tag along today so I could get out of the house for a while.

The boycats have settled. SunLord is downstairs, lounging on my vanity bench last I looked, and the Prince is up here on top of the kitty castle so they are about as far apart as they can be and still be in the house. The kits are amusing themselves and not bothering the cranky, out of sorts grownups. So hopefully the rolled up newspaper will remain on standby next to the keyboard and not have to be used!

She's now passed out at the top of the stairs. I'm expecting an attempt at a dive bomb later when things start to cool down... Roll Eyes CATS.

Yeah. It's supposed to be nearly 100 tomorrow, maybe more and the online source I found had a picture of the shelter at the top of the hill in the park where the HQ for the fireworks would be. All the grass around it is "dead" and brown and no doubt like tinder. They've also banned "personal" fireworks in town so there are going to be a lot of unhappy redneck yahoos in town tomorrow. I've called Skywise at work and told him so he can be thinking. Moonie is taking the news well, Spirit not so much. The concept of "they could set the town on fire!" hasn't sunk in yet.

The gnawing on the monitor has stopped for the time being, I managed to get some writing done last night! Cheesy It needs a lot of work and some additions (I realized that AFTER I went to bed last night but it's an easy fix, I just need a few more descriptions added) but at least I'm back to making a little progress. I stayed up until 3 a.m. and I'm POOPED!!  Smiley I would have slept in longer but between Son screaming at something on TV and Amber sitting on my head at 9:30 a.m., that was it for me. Roll Eyes

I'll be here today, between housework and editing what I wrote last night (maybe even trying to fix things!) and trying to wake up....... Smiley
