I need coffee too but I'm too tired to get up and make some at the moment.  The Bloke definitely needs a chin strap for that mask.  If his mouth is closed, the machine is quiet, otherwise it was like trying to sleep beside a wind tunnel...  Shocked

It is, RT!  Smiley I'm so glad I have friends like you, Shanti, Penth, Moonie, tabby, Silverclaw, and other dear people to share my journey with... It's been a long road getting to this point and I wouldn't have been able to do it without all of you!  Smiley

Yeah, the fun part of becoming an author is the writing... The getting it ready for publishers is really the harder part of it. For me at least! LOL

I'm currently skimming Chapter 5 and jotting down notes for the synopses... One place requires a VERY short blurb, another requires a more detailed one. I'm going to do the detailed one first, that way it'll be easier for me to condense that one into an even shorter one.

The notes are about one and a half pages so far, single spaced. I think it's going to be about 20 or more pages by the time I'm done. Shocked

We made the grocery run to Bloomington this morning which is the reason for the "thud." It's nearly 30 miles from here to the store in Bloomington which means we have to leave "early" and shop fast. It was much better when the grocery chain we prefer had a store in town.

I agree. WAITING is the worst part whether you're waiting on word back from an agent or a publisher! I'm going to get caught up and then start correcting copy. I want that part of the process done by the weekend.

Or an editor. *SIGH* I'm still typing notes for Chapter 5... Word count is visible to certain friends only on the pink rose profile... Not much more than the last word count, even with the quotes, etc added in as part of the total, etc.

I'm calm now but wait until you get word it's been sent out Penth... I do NOT wish ME going up a wall on ANYONE..... Not even my worst enemies...................... Shocked  Smiley

We who have cats have the snuggliest bosses in the world... Cheesy Chubby is looking for cuddles but she's going to have to get them from Hubby and Son, I'm still working on the notes aspect, in Chapter 9 right now.

Chubby was curled up on the chair for a bit but woke up when she heard Hubby go into the cellar. Now she's on the stairs behind me and using the carpet on them as a scratching post. Roll Eyes

I'm in chapter 10 of the note taking... It's slow going because I'm chatting with friends while I'm doing it, and Son is home and making his usual round of demands. I have to break soon to make supper anyway... I'll work on it tomorrow if this storm we're currently getting gets school canceled. I don't need to fully concentrate on it to get things down, thankfully I still remember most of the storyline and what happens when in the book. It's not like actual writing that needs 2000% of the brain power! LOL

Hi everyone.. I've been in for about an hour but have been going a little cuckoo trying to get caught up.

No school in my district today due to the mess we got yesterday into today... So I will be online but quiet, I'm going to be compiling notes again for NR's synopses and hopefully getting a start on that. With a little luck, I'll be able to get the notes part of things done by Monday and I can start the actual "condensing" into a full synopses for publishers who like longer summaries and from there, a shorter one for the ones who prefer shorter reviews.

I'm also going to be trying to think of what will go into my cover letters... I'm so glad I have experience writing those and that never left me... Thank the gods.

I need more coffee, and LOTS of it... Anyone out there invent the coffee IV yet? If so, send me one please! LOL Wink Tongue

The power went out just long enough to reset the computer... GRRR.... Then I had to go outside to clean off the dish for the satellite TV... There are drifts in the backyard that come up past my knees! Keep in mind I'm only 5'3" folks, I'm a short little thing....
