That goes for proofing too! Tongue One or two pages a day is better than nothing... Or one or two chapters, depending on if the eyes hold out that is... Tongue

I have an hour left before bus time... I think I'll put off trying to get anything done writing wise until tomorrow. Hubby will just have to understand, unless he wants a nice clank over the head with a frying pan.... Heh.

I have a hundred pages left to proof. I "should" finish tomorrow sometime. Then I'll correct the copy and that "should" be it. Then I'll start assembling the copy for the book. Smiley

I'm looking at the double spaced draft (#3) of NR thinking I have a LOT of work ahead of me proofing wise... Shocked I also have to see where the cut off point for sending a sample out to publishers would be... Unless they want the full manuscript that is! LOL

The guys are watching "Duck pin" bowling on TV so I'm going to see if I can get some proofing done myself while Son is distracted. (We have mostly Candlepin here, it's an east coast thing)

I also double checked submission guidelines for a couple of publishing houses, looks like I don't have to do as much for one as the other ones, thank the gods. I think that one will be spot #1 or #2 that I send the manuscript off to, when the time is right.

I'm getting butterflies just THINKING about how squirrelly I'm going to be after it's sent out... Shocked

Gotta love the furbabies, even if they are distracting sometimes! Chubby Girl is currently sitting on top of her "feeding station" right now and she should NOT be looking for more food already. I filled up her food dish only a few minutes ago. If she ate all of that food, I'd better get the paper towel out cause she may decide to HURL.... Roll Eyes

I'm back. When I came back to the computer after my break, DP was sound asleep in my chair so I got my pen, tea and clipboard and headed for the bedroom. I proofed in the Queen's company until my eyes gave out and I've since been cutting up leftover roast to make barbeque with. Unfortunately, while cutting the meat, I cut my right thumb three times -- yes my paring knife is sharp -- once deep enough to bleed. In spite of that, I got the meat cut up and it's on the stove for the first stage of the process that will turn it into acceptable sandwich filling. My only problem now is I expect my thumb to be very sore before the night's over which will interfere with my mouse use.

I'm in Chapter 14... I've found some typos and corrected them, but the eyes ares starting to give out. I may finish this chapter and the next one then call it a night. It's getting close to Son's computer time anyway, so I'll have to give it up soon.

Nite, hon.

The chopped up beef is cooling so I can skim the excess fat off and a load of laundry is in the washer. I still have a few dishes to wash before I make dinner and I "still" have more proofreading to do. And the Prince and the kits are doing wind sprints up and down the stairs and across the living room. The Queen is watching them with a "What ARE they doing?" look on her face.... The SunLord may get involved. My cats are nuts tonight.

In short, "situation normal."

My thumb hurts. *sigh* At least what dishes HAD to be washed tonight are and the laundry is in the dryer. Still working on the barbeque (tomorrow's lunch) and I'll be starting dinner in about an hour. NOT getting stuff done very fast.

The barbeque is finally cooked down and cooling. I had to take it slow 'cause it would be just my luck to scorch or burn it if I tried to hurry things up. I "should" be starting dinner in about half an hour, Hestia willing. At least the laundry in the dryer is dry but I'm not going to hang it up until tomorrow. I want to give this cut on my thumb a bit longer to seal up. It would not do to get blood on Skywise's dress shirts....

There will copious amounts of coffee drank today because I'm going to be working on the writing in one way or another. I'd like to get on with the synopses for various publishers if I can and start thinking of what I'm going to include in the "about me" parts of the cover letters.

WARNING: I may be a little "squirrelly" after I get those done, from NERVES because I will be another step closer to getting NR out to publishers....

Skywise has been using the computer so the Queen got my complete and undivided attention. She loved it and is currently outside doing her business. I expect her to be back shortly. It's wet and cold out there and she doesn't much care for those conditions!

My feline boss decided to have some snuggle time with me even though I was on the computer. *SIGH* I had to put her down after a while, she's HEAVY!

She'll get extra cuddles this evening. Hubby works again tonight so I'll be watching CSI at 8 p.m. on the local channel and I'll probably head out a bit before that so I can get organized before it starts. She'll love the extra "lap time". LOL
