Working up the "print copy" of Book 2 -- the title page, copyright notice and dedication in addition to the text -- is coming along nicely. Right now, I'm going through the "almost final" draft of Book 3 looking for a suitable "teaser" to put at the end of Book 2 and doing a little editing besides. The eyes aren't happy but I'll live.

Still going through Book 3 looking for the perfect teaser. There is so much to choose from! At one point in the book, the cast is scattered over four different locales and it isn't until near the end of the book that everyone is in the same area. Yes, I managed to keep the action straight! It was a struggle sometimes but I managed!

I'm cold all over and my feet are freezing. I'm going to go wrap myself up and stick them in the bed. Hopefully that will warm me up. Thank goodness chili is on tonight's dinner menu! THAT will thaw me out if nothing else works!

Finished the read through. Since I'd already proofed it, I concentrated on finding a specific formatting error of which I found a good number. The software would let me correct a lot of them so I'm pleased. I'll export the manuscript to Windows tomorrow and go through it again. I probably won't be able to correct anything but I can at least get an idea of how it will look. And now, there will be ice cream if it hasn't all been eaten!

Okay. Weirdness ensues. I just "exported" Book 2 to Word and carefully checked it and it appears that the formatting error that occurred with Book 1 didn't happen with Book 2. Even weirder, I checked the Word copy of Homecoming and the formatting was correct in that copy too.  Shocked  So, I'm beginning to think that the formatting error is occurring when my copy is converted at Amazon so I'm going to leave my "Author's Note" in 'cause I have no idea how Book 2 is going to look after Amazon is through with it.
I need tea.....
