I had a break from the editing so I'm going to go back to it and plug along for another hour until Hubby leaves for work. I'll probably do another reread of this section in the morning to make sure I did NOT miss a darn thing, and will continue on with the rest of Part Two tomorrow while I have the house to myself.

WOOT! NO Kenny vs Spenny tomorrow morning! YAY, nothing to gross me out before I dive into it!! Cheesy Hubby leaves for work at around 8ish and since it's on at 9... YES! *FIST PUMP!!*

I'm stopping at the start of Chapter 25. My eyes are REALLY protesting right now and if I continue, they'll probably start bleeding!  Smiley

Besides, it's almost Son's computer time and if I start another chapter editing wise, I'll want to finish it. Hubby is almost ready for work too so I wouldn't have someone distracting Son while I was working and I kinda need more than 10% of my concentration if I want to catch any mistakes, etc!  Smiley

Brain is MUSH. Eyes are so crossed they are tangled... Smiley

But all in all it was a good day. I'm a lot further ahead today than I was yesterday, and that is the main things, everyone. Cheesy

I'm back. We have about an inch on the ground and it's still snowing. They're saying 2 to 5 inches of snow for this area now. I'm expecting it to snow the rest of the night. At least, we didn't get any freezing rain.

I've been working on the 2nd chapter of Book 3 -- expanded an argument between the Hero and Heroine, added a bit of detail to Aphrodite's first "encounter" with the Hero and generally tidied up the text in addition to the bit of work I did on Chapter 1. All in all a good day's work. Skywise just walked in the door so I'm gonna head out and crash. I'm tired and tomorrow will be here soon enough.

Hubby works the short day shift today so I'll be offline between the time he leaves and afternoon bus time. My eyes are still killing me but I'm bound and determined to wrap up the final edit and get on with the final word count and cover letters before Friday, even if it kills me.

I still can't believe I'm THIS CLOSE to sending the manuscript out. Shocked

There is 3 inches of snow on the top of the van and the snow has stopped so that's probably our final tally out of this storm. I need to get caught up and then get to work on Book 2. I'll be in and out.

THE FINAL EDIT IS DONE!!!  Smiley

I'm tired, the eyes are crossed and I'm sorta sniffling over the emotional last few chapters... I had forgotten how much it took out of me to get the climax, etc JUST RIGHT and how hard it was to write it all, and read it.  Cry

It's another bittersweet moment for me... And another step closer to getting it OUT to publishers.

The NEXT TO LAST STEP will be getting the cover letters ready, then gathering everything I need together to send it off to publisher #1, and possibly more, within the next few days.

I'm going to go have a good cry now....  Cry

I'm working on Book 3. A skanky little bitch and her father are about to get the "first installment" on their just desserts and Our Heroine and Aphrodite have just settled into a discussion of Our Hero's "impressive physical attributes and bedroom performance." I won't be going into detail there 'cause I already did that elsewhere in the book and I wouldn't want to repeat myself!

I think my BIL likes my current FB status, but a LOT of people other than Penth are going to be VERY confused when they read it... Oh well!

And what is UP with that idiot sister of mine? She's suddenly liking a few of my shares, etc... She has NOT done that in a while and it's making me suspicious... Weird...

Maybe it's finally sinking in that her sister is going to be published and is trying to suck up so I'll include her in the "credits"?

Yeah, she's probably hoping to garner some "reflected glory" as your sister. She probably should have thought of that some ten, fifteen years ago. I haven't been on fb much today. I want to have this final draft done in no more than two weeks so I'll have plenty of time to print it out, proof and correct it after I put in the front matter and back matter that I'll be putting in. I won't be able to put in an excerpt from Book 4 'cause none of it is written yet. I have some "snippets" but I don't know if they will make the "final cut" or not and if they do, what the final form will be.

I'll be putting her in her place if she dares to try it and if she won't listen to me, Hubby will definitely nail her head to the barn door. Yeah, she should have thought of giving me the support before now because well... Let's just say I can easily tell people exactly what "support" she gave me by pointing them to her FB page... Snarky posts saying that if I read 50 Shades, my husband will "thank me" amongst other stuff that talks of jealousy, ignorance, and other stuff that calls a run of the mill romance "trashy"... Roll Eyes It's only going to hurt HER in the end for that... The snarkiest stuff on my page the last while has been silly stuff anyway and NO snarky posts about 50 Shades or Twilight unless it was for certain people ONLY, and she is NOT on that list... Wink I've done nothing but talk about my writing lately and if she can't handle that or tries to suck up to me because she KNOWS I AM GOING TO BE PUBLISHED, that's her problem, NOT mine.

I fully understand... I haven't been playing games much in FB except for a round or two of Bejewled Blitz and just going into my CSI game long enough to get my daily reward in each profile. I'm in there now but only talking to people in between things, like jotting ideas down in the Ideas file for Untitled 8... Hehehehe... Wink
