I've discovered that a LOT over the last few weeks... I looked for our house over there too and although it lands on the right road, it says our house is in a different spot, and we had to scroll around to find our house. It's bad... That's why I want my husband to get me the 2013 Doers and Dreamers Guide and the updated road map. That would be a LOT more accurate than ANYTHING I've been able to find online!!

Last year, we had gotten some stuff that had to be delivered. The drivers relied on Google maps and got completely lost and since they didn't have a clue about where they were, getting them HERE was a 5 star PITA.

Oh dear lord... Roll Eyes The guys around here don't rely on Google Maps, they rely on maps printed by the province or the actual road maps one gets in the tourism NS offices around the province. The last time a courier got something here, they found the place pretty much right off the bat and we do NOT have one of the reflective roadside signs like everyone else does...

Local guys wouldn't have had a problem but these guys were from Indianapolis and didn't have a clue. I vowed that the next time we need something delivered from a store in the city, I'm going to give them detailed directions and tell them WHY.

That is a good idea! Our place is relatively easy to find, once you know the road name, because we're not far from a provincial highway.

hehehe Some years ago a couple of city boys were delivering a refrigerator and were amazed that people actually lived this far out in the country. I told them that my parents had bought the place back in the 50s and they wanted to know how my parents FOUND it. I told them I had no idea.

Gee whiz. Since there a lot of places in the country even in my little province, seeing someone live a ways from a town or other people doesn't fizz me at all. We live in a little neighborhood of about 9 or 10 houses and although I'm in a farming community, we're not really that far back in the "sticks". We're only a couple of miles from the highway and less than 10 miles from the largest town in the county.

I'm jotting down ideas in the "Over 18 scenes" ideas file... hehehehehee.....................

hehehe These were city boys with no experience with country life. One of them asked me where the nearest fire station was. I told him "four miles." He got kinda pale and asked what we do about fires. I told him we were real careful with it.

I just assembled Book 3's "publishing file." It contains the cover, the Pages copy of the final draft and the "Exported" to Word copy. Nothing left now but the publishing, scheduled for Sunday morning.

This is gonna be short. I woke up around 7:30 this morning with the migraine from hell which I still have. It's easing off some but I'm still going back to bed once I finish this. I'll be able to take more aspirin in two or three hours and hopefully I'll be back then.

Well, that idea I had for the aftermath of the scene I spliced in yesterday wasn't working. It's been done to death in my genre so I removed all that led into it and will continue on with something else.

I had an idea like that for NR and wound up having to rewrite almost an entire chapter. Thank the gods I had only a few paragraphs, only about a page, written up for the "brilliant fail" for FP.

Better I change it now than change it after Draft 1 is done... LOL

I'm not feeling great at the moment so I'm going to head out for a while and go veg with Cat on my chair under my blanket. I'm not sure if I'll be back later or not. It all depends on how I feel.
