YAY!!

I've been dicing potatoes and carrots for the soup I'm going to make tonight. Next job: dicing and trimming the meat. It's been a long time since I made this but it looks like I won't have to alter the recipe too much to make it "low sodium."

I am experiencing a tad of eyestrain but that's normal for a day or so after getting a new prescription... Hopefully they'll adjust in a day or so and I'll be able to read more than three chapters of either manuscript without screaming in agony.............

I'm chatting about the local exhibition/county fair with a friend privately and recalling how I get ill on the Ferris Wheel... Which is odd considering I could go on the Orbiter something like 20 times in a row without a break and without getting the slightest bit nauseated!! Shocked

Our pizza was great.

I'm going to drop the company I got the glasses from a line, thanking them for doing a great job with my new glasses and how much I love them. I think if a company does a great job, they deserve to hear it.

There was a scant cup of soup left and I put it in the refrigerator. Since it worked out so well, I'll be making it regularly. The veggies and seasonings are normally on hand, I can keep the no sodium added broth in the pantry so all I'd need to get at the store would be the meat. Spirit ate the celery, carrots and peas in the soup which she won't eat when not "in soup" so I'm wondering what other ways I can sneak more veggies into her diet.....

I have the urge to edit but I have VERY strict orders from "HIS" highness (read: my husband) NOT to open Word until late tomorrow.... It's to give the eyes time to adjust to the new prescription for my glasses. Since the eyes are feeling halfway nuts already and I am just starting my computer time for the day, I MIGHT actually listen to that order......... Tongue

I will, Penth! I'm thinking housework today if I feel up to it later on to keep the eyes focused on something other than the computer screen and maybe even trying the sunglasses for a bit outside as well. They're pretty dark so they should be good for blocking a lot of the UV light. Cheesy

We're back.
I did, VE and Moonie took a ton of pictures so look for them here sometime soon. Moonie will have to download them and then I get to sort out the ones I want to put up.

I am exhausted and my legs are "complaining" so I'm going to get off of them for a bit before I start being useful.

I just bumped boiling water on my left foot. I think I got my shoe and sock off fast enough that the damage will be minimal but right now, it hurts.

It's late, I'm tired and I'm going to take my abused toes to bed. So far, so good as far as pain is concerned so I'm hopeful that getting my shoe and sock off and applying cold compresses did the trick as going barefoot this week is NOT an option. *sigh* Anyway, I'm outta here.
