We're back and "hairy" is on the way. The storms have fired up and are on the Illinois/Western Indiana border. They're moving northeast faster than the line is coming east so it will be a while before I'm knocked offline. Chicago is getting hammered though.

I don't doubt it about the sirens. The radar up there is vivid! And by all means.... CUDDLE THE KITTY!!

That sounds like excellent motivation to lay some lovin' on the cat!

People tick me off sometimes. Seriously. Just because I don't talk about certain things in my life doesn't mean I "don't know" about certain situations, etc.

Yeah, I know it. There are just some things I don't talk about publicly, and people don't get that. I'm just not one to spew my guts out about everything in a public spot. Those who need to know - and those who I trust - are the ones I talk about a lot of things with, but in private.

I'm not saying it's "wrong" to talk about everything publicly, I'm saying it's just "not me", and if I want someone to know about something, they'll find out privately, and only if it's someone I trust.

Yeah, thanks, and I think I'm going to do that now. Things got quiet and I think I'd better sneak out before the next wave decides to hit. I'm going to play some YuGiOh for Son, as promised, before "Nightmare in Silver" comes on. That's my favorite epi of Series 7 and I'd love to see it again. The one that leads into the 50th Anniversary special is on right after that, and I want to refresh the brain so I remember all of it for Saturday afternoon.

Up here in my corner of the universe we have snow and black ice all over the roads.    Penth, the weather news here says there are tornado warnings from down south with you right up to southern ontario. I think I prefer the snow :S  Stay safe!

Good news, my sister's eye procedures were successful so she has 90% sight in the eye that they were concerned she would lose all her sight.  The specialist still wants her to sue the incompetent idiots who sent her home and told her to wait for a referral. 

I did make a start on scanning in family photos but I will have to go back for at least another week straight to get them all.  Restoration is going to require quite a bit of work. 

Anyways must get another load of laundry going, and thinking of making veggie soup for supper.  I'll be here n there catching up on posts!

The next wave is about to arrive. It's getting really dark. On the plus side, this looks like it could be the last wave of meteorological nonsense for the day. I certainly hope so...

Rain is back.

I'm back. The worst is past us. Skywise is pretty sure he heard a "pre-tornado" vortex go by just north of us. He was able to track it by sound and by the way the trees were moving. I was in the house and it seemed to get very "still" and I heard some odd sounds myself.

From the reports coming in, it looks like the worst storms hit north of Indianapolis and the storm system is centered over Michigan and moving into Canada although Chicago and eastern Wisconsin are still under the gun.

I will now attempt to calm down and make dinner.......

Just checked the radar for what is probably the last time tonight. The storms are east and north of us (would NOT like to be on Lake Michigan tonight!) and are pulling away. I think it's safe to say it's over for tonight. And hopefully there won't be any more of this tornado foolishness until next spring!

"Waiting for weather" is exhausting so I'm going to head out while I'm still coherent. There is absolutely NOTHING planned for this coming week for which I'm pathetically grateful.

I'm in the middle of fighting off the urge to open Book 2 and work on it. I want that to stay in stasis for a few more weeks, so I'm busy jotting down ideas and listening to media player... Thanks to a free preview/download, I have one of the songs from my favorite singer's new album on the playlist and I'm listening to that now.

I have Word open to the new idea. Nothing is written for it yet but hopefully with a little luck, I can get a scene done sometime this week, IF the batteries are recharged enough! LOL
