Yeah, there is a LOT of stuff on the airwaves that does nothing but rot your brain. I avoid those. I have enough problems with "Can't Remember Stuff."

There's a lot of channels I refuse to watch because they're nothing but garbage like "Say Yes to the Dress", "Yukon Gold", "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" and others I won't name.... The only reason why we even have them is because they're in packs that we have to have in order to get the better channels. Unfortunately, most of the channels we like, we can't get separately on the dish. Roll Eyes If we took any packs out, it wouldn't make much difference either payment wise. We'd go back to the aerial but we can't even get two out of the three free channels back here at all, so it's cable, satellite or nothing... Since the guys are TV addicts (if I'm home alone the TV is off 90% of the time), we have to have one or the other else I hear nothing but snarking. Roll Eyes

Morning. It's snowing and schools are in session, but Son is home again today... he's still sick so we're erring on the side of caution.

Hubby has the next two days OFF and today is NHL trade deadline day, so we'll be keeping an eye on that. Hoping my Leafs made GOOD trades this year....

I'm feeling rather rotten (thank you Son for your cold!) so I may be quiet except if the Leafs make any big trades. I need more coffee and to get caught up now.....

Twitter is showing things about 10 minutes after it shows up on TV. I closed the tab, it was burning a lot of MB and I do hate being far behind... FB is faster posting updates so I'll be checking things that way with the trade deadline... Plus Hubby knows to share anything Leafs wise, else he's getting clobbered with a frying pan......

Exactly... Although we had a number of players who wanted to retire as a Leaf... Doug Gilmour was traded in the mid-90s and wound up coming back to the Leafs to retire a few years later... He's my favorite player of the modern era and he was probably the best centre that Toronto had since the 60s... Sawchuck and Orr are my faves from years past.

I'm back. The bbq sauce is made with only minor burns, my glasses caught most of it and I have ice on my thumb.

Note to self: simmer the sauce with a vented cover, pull it off the heat to stir and do NOT remove the cover until the "explosions" stop!

I've transferred the bbq sauce to the bottle and I have only one small blister on my thumb out of a dozen "possibles." I'm just glad none of it got in my eyes. They never mention in the cookbooks that wearing "safety glasses" while cooking should be "standard operating procedure".
And my stove is a mess but I don't think I'll get to it tonight. Too many other things to clean up from this little project.....
