	The Queen seems to be of the opinion that any time I'm sitting at the computer, she is required to be on my lap. When the computer is on and I'm not sitting in the chair, she is required to be sitting in it. This is going to cause a problem when I get back to writing. I am typing this standing up.....

	I've rearranged my work area and put a chair next to mine. So far this seems to have solved the problem although Warrior Princess is asleep in it at the moment.

	The Queen is now in the chair beside me and it seems to suit her. I'm going to have to build some sort of stair or platform to make it easier for her to jump onto the table. She can't jump as high as she used to -- and she never was much of a "high jumper" -- and she needs a sturdy base to "launch" from. The others will probably appreciate it too.

	I had a nap today but I'm still tired. I'm hoping that by next week, I'll be recovered from the Christmas Rush which is as hard on families as it is on the workers.

	The chicken finally thawed enough to separate the pieces and dinner is in the oven. Earlier this afternoon, Warrior Princess was spotted playing under the Christmas Tree -- with a dead mouse. The deceased rodent was removed much to WP's disgust.....

	The Queen has an ebil sense of humor. WP is a cheeky little thing and she never passes up an opportunity to take a swing at the Queen, usually when the Queen's back is turned. The Queen doesn't normally retaliate since SunLord tends to take a dim view of that. Of course, if everyone is outside, all bets are off and Queen is as likely to put WP to flight as not. But I digress. A little while ago, the Queen having had her dinner wanted to go out to "do her business" and Spirit let her out. While she was out, WP jumped up in the chair next to me and settled down for a snooze. Then Skywise let the Queen back in. The Queen took a running leap, landed in the chair on top of WP and from there jumped onto the table behind the computer. WP vacated the chair in startled haste and the Queen is now curled up in the chair sound asleep.

	Time for me to head out. We're in the home stretch, two more late nights and things "should" get back to something approaching normal. For a week or so anyway, Skywise is due to work the super late shift for two weeks next month. "I" need about two months of no late nights or massive baking projects. sigh Anyway... 	Afternoon. We ran into town mainly to pay the electric bills and the mortgage. While we were there, we stopped at Walmart (we had a return) and had an early "lunch" which was actually breakfast. Now we're back and I'm getting caught up. I don't know exactly what I'll be doing today once Skywise leaves but there is no shortage of possibilities.

	I took a nap, sent a terse email to an amazon vendor who shorted my order -- not a Christmas present thankfully -- and have started a minor woodworking project. Once this project and another minor one I have waiting are done, I'll start on the bookcases. THAT project will take some time, skinned knuckles and strong language, hopefully not too much of the latter two!

	Well that was interesting. Between about 2 and 2:30 pm my internet was down in that I couldn't get much of anything to load. I could get Smartpage to load and my ISP's control panel for my service but everything else was "DNS lookup error", "Failure to Connect to Server" and "FireFox can't locate server at [anything].com." My email didn't want to work either. I tried Safari with no better results. Then everything came back and -- so far -- seems to be working. A quick turn around the internet makes me think that it was a widespread problem. Good thing I'm not paranoid......

	I'm getting a lot done today. Tomorrow will be "baking day" -- cookies and cinnabon rolls. Christmas dinner will be "ample" but since I'm making the roasts in the crockpot there won't be too much more to do than for a normal "Sunday dinner" -- an extra side and a special dessert in addition to the usual.

	Morning. It's raining. If it were snow, we'd definitely have a white Christmas. As it is, it's a wet Christmas. So far at least. We didn't have any errands to run today so I slept in and once I get caught up, I'll be baking cookies.

	The first batch of cookies -- chocolate chip -- is out of the oven. Everything, pans and oven, has to cool down before I do the next batch but the shortbread dough is already made and has been chilling in the fridge since yesterday so they're half done.

	Afternoon. Still being lazy but I'm getting some work done! Everything here is peaceful, quiet and stress free. Moonie was laughing at one of my presents -- a set of DeWalt Titanium drill bits. She said I was the only woman she knows of who would like that sort of present. What can I say? I like to make stuff and drill bits are frequently required!

	Happy Holidays and all that.... I remember trying to find a gag gift for BR years ago to cover the jewelry gift I was giving her (for our anniversary if I remember correctly). The thought-string was "nope, she'd like kitchen stuff... nope, she'd like tools.... nope, she'd even like a bowling ball... a-HA! I'll get her an IRON!"
