	Morning. Skywise didn't get in until 2 am which is why I'm late getting in here. I was a tired girl. Moonie and I have resolved to do something "fun" today. Don't know just what yet but it will NOT involve pie-making, of that, I'm sure!

	Morning. We've been to town and back already this morning. On the plus side, I now have everything I need to make all the pies Skywise is committed to bring to the various "Christmas dinners" being held between now and Christmas. The downside is that, currently, my cognitive functions are barely online. I REALLY need more caffeine and I'll be seeing to that directly!

	Needing to occupy my mind and think without using megabytes, I've been putting together a new playlist of all six Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit soundtracks starting with "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and ending with "The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King." If I don't get "The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" soundtrack for Christmas, (I've put it on my list) I'll get it shortly thereafter and add it. Then all six will be on the playlist -- over 100 tracks and over 6 and a half hours of music.

	Afternoon. The weather is changing again (high pressure this time) and my left leg is giving me attitude out the wazoo. I had to get the cane out. sigh This looks like it is going to be more of a "study" day than a "work" day. The leg wants to be prone and doesn't seem inclined to take "no" for an answer so as soon as I'm caught up, I'll be taking my book and heading for the bed for some serious studying.

	I've gotten a couple of things done and dinner is started. It looks like an avalanche of packages will start hitting the mailbox tomorrow only some of which are Christmas presents but the ones that are need to get here so I can wrap and repack them and get them sent on their way. Plus I'll have two pies to bake for a dinner next Friday. Next week will be busy but my reward on the 21st will be to see the last installment of "The Hobbit" which we're all looking forward to. 	Afternoon. We'er back from town -- got some groceries, had lunch and picked up a gift. We'll finish up the shopping next week, I hope as the closer it gets to Christmas the more I hate going into the stores. I've checked on all my incoming packages and everything seems to be moving through the system smoothly so they should all be here in time. Now to get caught up with everything else.

	Skywise is on the way to work and I've been adding bits and pieces to "Demon in the Dark" when I'm not trying to design a piece of equipment that would be helpful in the bookbinding process. I'm gonna need to think about it -- and get more wood!

	We bought a new Christmas tree this year and Spirit decided that we needed a new star for it. She picked one out, paid for it herself and brought it home. It was silver metal and white shell and it was beautiful but it was too heavy for the tree. It folded the top over like the tree in A Charlie Brown Christmas. So, we returned it. So then she got the star we've been using for the last decade or so and put it on the tree and it was too heavy too. So Spirit came up with the perfect solution. I went downstairs a couple of hours ago and there was a star on top of the tree that Spirit had made and put up. We're all agreed... it's perfect.

	Afternoon. Skywise is on his way to work. He has NO idea when he will be home -- probably after 2 am, maybe later. It's been a busy morning. Most of the "brick and mortar" Christmas shopping is done. There's still some online to do which I'll do as soon as I know that neither of the girls is going to wander by and see what I'm doing! I've got packages to wrap, a package to ready for mailing and cookies to bake in addition to the usual "wife stuff." The cookies may have to wait until tomorrow when I can give them my full attention. Right now, I'm going to get my tea, get caught up and then start wrapping the packages that it's okay for the kids to see......
