About 45 minutes ago, Skywise had a "visitation".
He was on our bed, reading, with Warrior Princess draped over his legs. He slipped into that state between "asleep and awake" and felt the brush of a cat tail on his arm.
He thought: "Why is War Queen flicking her tail on my arm?"
He looked at my pillow where she would have to be in order to touch him with her tail -- and it was her favorite sleeping place --and saw nothing. WP was asleep on his leg. There were no other cats in the room, let alone on the bed.
He knew it was her.
I believe that she decided to let him know she was there.
I also believe that she's never that far from us.
We were a trio and we still are....

Skywise had another visitation tonight, this time at the Old House.
He had been running a racing board game up there and was feeling sleepy. He'd written down a number, sloppily, started to doze then woke up. He erased the number, wrote it neatly and then he heard a "rowar" (spelling NOT accurate), looked toward the sound and saw.... nothing. He was wide awake this time.
There were no living cats in the house with him and he knew it was the War Queen. He recognized her voice.
