Sanctuary Control dodged the bullet once again. The worst of it stayed to the south and/or east of us.

Duck and cover, hon! Even without tornadoes that is one rough storm system.

It's gonna be a wonderful day.... NOT!

For the record, we are right in the middle of that "high risk" area...

So far, the worst is missing us. (Lord Zeus, Lord Thor, thank you!) The Lebanon/Lafayette area is getting hammer though but that area is northwest of Indianapolis.

Duck and cover, hon. If you can find a nice comfy basement room, move into it for the next 18 hours or so..

Okay so far but they are issuing the tornado warnings faster than I can keep up with them. Be back when I can.

We're between waves. Still okay but we have a bit of water in the basement. The gutters overflowed and flooded the window wells. I am semi-soak and was muddy but the girls got the gutters cleared so that should keep them running when the next the wave gets here. Gotta run. Hold the fort.

The leading edge of next wave should arrive in the next 30 minutes. The worst should be past us by 11 pm by heavy rain might block the satellite. I'm shutting the computer down and I'll be back when I can. Everyone be safe. We're doing our best to be.

We have a thunderstorm in progress but the squall line is past us and all the tornado warnings for this area have expired. Skywise called about half an hour ago and he was on the way home. I'm expecting him some time in the next 30 minutes. I'm exhausted and my back is killing me. The girls did yeoman service on the roof getting the gutters cleared after the first wave went through. Those girls deserve ice cream and I'm gonna do my best to see that they get it!

It hadn't gotten there yet. The main squall line is just about to cross out of Indiana into Ohio, probably in the next 30 minutes. Hope you have your hatches battened down, hon.

LOL
Right now, it is sunny, windy, mid-60's and HUMID! but since it isn't hot yet, it is still comfortable. It could be in the upper 80's/low 90's by Sunday. From one extreme to another....

More rain today, what a surprise & then sky rocketing into 90 degrees for Monday & Tuesday.  I hope I'm still strong enough to heft the damn air conditioner upstairs & put it in the kids bedroom window.  Rain & heat suck!

Yes you did but aren't you teh kitteh who is always claiming that he doesn't like "cold?"
It is currently 84 degrees here with 25% humidity. The barometer is 30.25 and falling. The radar is clear.

I heard about it on the Canadian news... JOY OH FREAKING BLISS!!!  Smiley

There's a storm with a 20% chance of developing into a tropical depression off the coast of Florida already... It's only DAY ONE of hurricane season. WTF????

StormPulse is the tracker I use, along with Enviroment Canada Hurricane Centre.

Here's the story of one of the worst damage we've ever received from hurricanes here in NS:

Hurricane Juan, 2003.

Bottom line: Halifax was NOT prepared for it, it was predicted to make landfall in my county!!!

And it will be "tornado season" -- for all practical purposes -- until cold air stops coming down from Canada into the Great Plains which might not be until the end of June although (Please, DEAR GODS!) that might happen sooner.
