The NWS in Indianapolis has extended the flood warning for: boone county in central Indiana, clay county in west central Indiana, hendricks county in central Indiana, montgomery county in west central Indiana, morgan county in central Indiana, northern owen county in west central Indiana, northwestern sullivan county in southwest Indiana, parke county in west central Indiana, putnam county in west central Indiana, southern fountain county in west central Indiana, vermillion county in west central Indiana, vigo county in west central Indiana, western marion county in central Indiana, Until 630 pm est Monday/530 pm cst Monday/ Law enforcement reports indicate that several roads across the warned area continue to be closed due to high water and flooding. Although additional heavy rainfall is not expected today, residual flooding will continue throughout the rest of the day. Flooding of creeks and small streams is also likely. Some locations that will experience flooding include, crawfordsville, terre haute, brazil, brownsburg, clinton, danville, greencastle, lebanon, martinsville, mooresville, newport, plainfield, rockville and veedersburg. Precautionary/preparedness actions, Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.

Flood Watch Remains in effect until 4 pm est this afternoon, The flood watch continues for A portion of Indiana, Including The Following areas, bartholomew, Boone, Brown, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, decatur, Delaware, Greene, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, henry, Howard, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Knox, lawrence, Madison, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Montgomery, morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, sullivan, Tipton And Vigo. Until 4 pm est this afternoon Heavy rains will continue over portions of south central and east central Indiana until mid morning. Heavy rains last night have produced significant flooding on many streams and creeks. Precautionary/preparedness actions, A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
