	WHY, OH WHY, OH WHY!!! Did people keep writing that the Castle was on a seacoast or near a port WHEN I MADE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR IN THE FIRST POST THAT IT WAS IN LANDLOCKED WILDERNESS??????? <---- My one true love. One of them anyway....bbbbrrrraaaaappppppppp!!

	I'm going to haul my little self out of here and put that laundry away before Skywise gets home. Then I'm going to rest my little aching eyeballs. Eyestrain has been a BIG problem today. 	Skywise's Adventures in Grass Cutting About a week or so ago, Skywise decided it was time to get the lawnmower ready for the cutting season. He pulled the battery, hooked it up to the charger and left it to charge while doing all the other stuff on the mower that needed to be done. The next day, he discovered that the battery was NOT charged. The charger, which had belonged to my mother, had finally given up the ghost after a couple of decades of faithful service. Off we went to get a new charger. Again the battery was hooked up and left to charge. The next day: Battery was still dead. It too had departed for the Great Beyond. So yesterday, after some hunting, we got a new battery at Sears. Skywise installed it, fired up the lawnmower and promptly discovered that the transmission had expired. sigh Soooooo, off we go today to the Ace Hardware store where we bought it with the intention of buying a new one since we had gotten good service from the last one. They don't sell large lawnmowers anymore. Neither does our local K-Mart or Wal-Mart. We got some lunch and then went back to Sears. [Weren't you here yesterday?] THEY had lawnmowers. On sale. We just took delivery on a new 24 hp, 42 inch cut riding lawnmower. hehehehe It even has a cup holder so I'm going to be looking for water bottles of some sort that will fit so he can have a container of Gatorade with him at all times while he mows. Skywise is happy. Which means that I am happy! And we won't have to hire the neighbor's sheep to keep our hayfield of a yard under control!

	We're back from town. We went to get Moonie's birthday presents since tomorrow is the day. Skywise and the girls went back into town to get gas for the lawnmower. Why two trips? Must be male logic 'cause I have no clue unless he wanted to minimize fumes in the van. I let you know what Moonie got in the way of b-day loot after she's opened her presents!

	Skywise got about half of the lawn mowed before he left for work. Hopefully, he will get the rest of it done tomorrow before it rains. I'm going to be baking Moonie's birthday cake tonight as well as our customary Thursday Night Special -- PIZZA!! Flour will be flying in all directions tonight!

	Looks like we are going to get wet this evening, at least a little. I hope everything dries out enough for Skywise to finish the grass tomorrow before he goes to work tomorrow. Moonie is trying to beat the rain and get some Miracle Grow on the tulips. They've taken a beating thanks to the deer. We like having the deer around but with a herd of around eleven, they're eating everything in sight and not confining themselves to grass.

	Morning all! The Birthday Girl is quite happy at the moment. The stuff she ordered from Amazon.com (soundtrack CDs) came today so she's gonna be immersed in music today. I'm a bit annoyed. As I was getting ready for bed last night, I noticed that my forearms were reddish. And the patch on my chest where my shirt was NOT completely buttoned up? Red there too. I'd only been out for about 20 minutes in the very late afternoon but apparently that was enough. I seem to be extremely sun sensitive this season. The redness has faded this morning but I'm duly warned. No spur of the moment dashing out of the house to do a little chore. Sunscreen at all times! sigh I'm gonna be keeping No-Ads in business this year....

	We're back. Actually, we've been back for a while and Skywise has left again. Late shift again tonight but he should have the entire weekend off. It will make for a smaller paycheck but he really needs his weekends off and NOT just because it gives us more opportunities to be good and naughty!! Anyway, he finished the grass and we headed out to have Moonie's birthday lunch. She opened her presents when we got back. I suspect that her Wii will be getting a workout as soon as she finishes what she has to do online. Post # 10,300

	I just read a BBC article about controversy surrounding sexy advertising in Sweden, Norway and Denmark which was illustrated with an underwear ad. It is really too bad that you can't order the guy along with the underwear....

	We're back! Skywise and Moonie are turtle hunting at the moment. With luck, there will be pictures. Skywise spotted the critter in the yard -- one of our "regulars" -- and when Moonie got back out there with the camera, she couldn't find the turtle. So, they are both out there now, tracking the wily beast! We've been seeing this turtle off and on for years. We know it is the same one because, at some point, it lost an eye. And so everyone who is interested knows, I'm going to be offline tonight for at least part of the night. Nike is going to call so we can make plans to meet while she's visiting her mom and brother in Kentucky so we'll be keeping the line clear. Once we are done yakking, I'll check in and make sure that the place is still here!

	Pizza dough is rising. Yes, Skywise has the super-duper late shift tonight so dinner will be served at about 2 a.m. I finished up another little something for the DarkPrincess. With the blessing of the Gods, I'll have everything ready to mail on Friday. Monday at the latest. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Princess holds off being born until her goodies get there!!

Yes, the idea of surrounding each of my potential fruit trees with a custom-sized "mini-greenhouse" to keep the deer, possums and raccoons at bay is VERY appealing. [One year, we would have had a nice crop of apples from our existing tree until one night when a family of raccoons climbed the tree and stripped it bare of fruit. ] So before I lay out the money, time and effort on fruit trees, I want to be able to protect them from the varmits. Preferably without having to stand guard 24/7 with a rifle....
