	There! I just finished making out the last batch of bills for this month. Of course, tomorrow I'll start making out NEXT month's bills! At least there is only one that is due after the first of the month and before the 21st. They come in a bunch in the second half of the month.

	Afternoon! The sun is out and it's warm enough to have the back door open. Skywise took the strawberry planter back outside. I hope it stays warm enough for it to stay out overnight! That dratted thing is HEAVY!

	I read an article on "lab grown" meat that I found through Unknown Country. The gist was that scientists are working on growing meat and fish in the lab with an eye to eventually producing most if not all animal protein that we consume in a factory type setting. Think huge vats of nutrient solution with sides of beef, pork or salmon growing in them. Some people might find that gross but I suspect that they have no experience with the reality of livestock production and what is involved in getting meat to the table. THAT is what's gross! Considering that such meat would be antibiotic and hormone free with absolutely NO chance of E-coli contamination or Mad Cow disease and would not be nearly as resource intensive to produce as livestock [think land and water use, plus feed, medical care and waste disposal all along the production line.] the process looks very attractive indeed. I first encountered the concept in the works of Robert Heinlein and thought that it was the coolest thing ever. It's about darn time reality caught up! Now I want my flying car and robot maid......

	The first line of storms is past. It was pretty wide and wasn't moving very fast. hehehehe Skywise was watching the radar and conditions outside and was just about to order us all to the basement when the line decreased in strength and broke apart. Once it was past us, it reformed -- but not as strong -- and moved on. And I wasn't even trying.....

	We're back! We ran some "extra" errands today to get them out of the way. hehehehehe We stopped at a comics shop -- aways dangerous! -- and I got a long overdue and much needed Red Sonja fix. Plus Wonder Woman and Supergirl, of course. I'm set for the vacation, which was probably Skywise's intent in pulling into the comic shop's parking lot!

	Taking a break for a moment to let you know we're back, we've found out where the kitchen sink is leaking and we WON'T have to replace it and the movie was GREAT!!! Go see it at once! 	Afternoon! Today is the first "official" day of vacation and Skywise is out cutting the grass. I've been puttering around getting a few things done and putting things back after getting the leaking sink under control. I don't know if Skywise is going to need to get his upper torso under there or not, so I'm rearranging things so there is plenty of room under there. Other than that, it is a quiet day.

	hehehe Skywise just asked Spirit what she wanted for dinner tonight. "Sargent Pepper's Chicken," she replied. "What time?" "Six o'clock." So at six, Skywise and the girls will be heading into town for takeout chicken. Mommy doesn't have to cook tonight. This is a GOOD thing!

	I was right. I have weather radar on another tab. There is a blob of yellow/orange/red nastiness headed our way. sigh There's a 90% chance of thunderstorms tonight. At least Skywise is home and I don't have to worry about him driving in it tonight. We will likely pick up our pizza at Papa John's well before dark -- or between storms -- and be tucked up for the night fairly early. I guess I'll spend my "offline" time today working on designs for Penthesilea's Castle. hehehehehe Black Rose and I have been talking merchandising.....
