	The nasty yellow/orange stuff has faded to deep green but the day is young. On the plus side, the national politicians (and the media) have deserted the state and with the primary over, the locals are catching their breath before diving into the campaign for the November election. And.... it is May and THAT means auto racing....vroom, vroom, ZOOM!!

	We're back from our pizza run and the aforementioned pizza has been consumed. It was Papa John's. It isn't as good as what I make -- I'm more generous with the toppings for one thing -- but it was ready in 20 minutes and I didn't have to make it or clean up after, so it's all good!

	What's Happenin'? It's still raining. We have a small stream north of the house and every low spot in the yard has turned into a pond. It's a good thing that Skywise got the grass cut when he did or we would REALLY have a mess on our hands.

	Spirit just asked me what was for dinner. It being Thursday I said "pizza." She said "You're the world's greatest chef for pizza." smile I've had a lot of practice. And the rain has FINALLY stopped.

	We're back! We had lunch -- I had a Subway Roast Beef on wheat, double meat. What? I'm a carnivore! -- and hit the Barnes and Nobles. Then we stopped at the DQ for ice cream on the way home. Spirit has already declared -- firmly -- that we're having Sunday dinner at Fazoli's. There is lasagna in my future! I used to make it all the time but the company that made the sausage I used got bought out and the product is no longer available. I've found another brand that might work. One weekend soon, I'll find out! Definitely going to have to step up the exercise once the vacation is over. Fortunately, the program I started to help with my knee pain seems to be working. YES!!! It can be darned difficult to exercise effectively when it hurts to walk across a room. Still gonna stay with the "low impact" -- for the time being anyway. I don't want to undo my progress. I'll probably wait until next summer to move up to "high impact." I'll have to find something interesting to do that is "high impact." Oh well, there is time...

	We're back! Skywise is busy installing the mast for the antenna for the television and I'm hip deep in the laundry that has piled up during the "monsoon" we just had. Today is "get caught up on chores" day. We should have the antenna hooked up and be swimming in clean clothes* by tonight. [*I'd rather be skinny dippin' except that I can't swim....]

	The antenna is up and is working well on most of the stations we watch. We have trees, you see, and that tends to interfere with antennas. I'm trying to write and I'm making a little headway. I'll probably do better after dinner. I should tear myself away from the comp and put the laundry away but I'm going to attempt to get through a few most posts before I take a break. I've been helping Skywise with the antenna and that has cut into my writing time.

	We're back and pleasantly stuffed with Italian food! Moonie and I had lasagna, Spirit had pizza -- of course -- and Skywise had a sampler platter of spaghetti, noodles with Alfredo sauce and lasagna. We stopped at Half Price Books after and I made a haul. All books that have to do with the non-metaphysical [but extremely pleasant!] aspect of my awakening -- nothing esoteric and nothing about the project. I read most of one slim volume on the drive home. The male sex has NO chance of escape now! Not that they will WANT to escape..... hehehehehehe Yeah, I'm awful. Deal.

	I'm thinking about custom embroidered patches for the project. I know a company that does them. They aren't inexpensive but the quality is excellent and the patches would make the project a little more "real." Something I'm thinking about, anyway while waiting for the pieces to fall into place. I've been too distracted to write today but I've been thinking about this and that at the Castle so the day wasn't completely wasted in that regard. BR and I have been talking merchandising and I'll need logos and things for that. I need to design the small charm that the Keyholder wears as a child of her father's house. I can't use the one I was thinking of when I mentioned it 'cause someone else holds the rights to the design. So, I have to come up with something simple, elegant and distinctive. I'll need a design for the Office of Keyholder and at some point there is likely to be a market for the medallion that the Lord Marshall gave the Keyholder just before her descent into madness. I need heraldry but I don't want to use anything really recognizable from Earth so I'm going to have to make it up myself. Yeah, I'm thinking about a "The Penthesilea's Castle Companion" volume too! It's getting that complex. And, of course, the *Valcaria* *Sourcebook* I'm going to charm Hero Games into publishing. It shouldn't be too hard to charm them since by the time I get around to pitching it to them, most of it will already be written! I'll likely be taking a tote equipped with a notebook or three, sketchbook and various writing implements when we head for Louisville on Tuesday. Skywise will drive, Spirit will likely sleep or listen to CDs and Moonie will be playing her DS when she isn't catching a nap! In fact, I'll probably be hauling that tote along on any expedition involving a drive of longer than 30 minutes for the next year or two. Once Book One is finished, I'll be turning around and digging into Book Two. After that, I've promised myself a break before I start on Book 3. Lots to think about and do. I put my writing on hold for a long time while I did the "mom thing" and now is the time to get back to it. The girls still need me but not like they did even five years ago. And there is still that promise of a cure somewhere out there in the maybe not too distant future. When that cure becomes reality, I'm gonna be out of a job! It's time for me to get busy and get after my dream. goes to dig out that tote bag.......

	Morning! I'm buzzing around getting everything squared away for tomorrow's expedition. There won't be time in the morning to do anything beyond pulling on our clothes, feeding and watering the cats, gulping some tea and then heading out. I've already got two things marked off my list so I'm very pleased with myself! I'm gonna take a break now and have some tea and breakfast!!

	Skywise has been ribbing me about all the books I'm getting in the mail. Sooooooo, I ordered something for him and had it sent to him. It was all I could do not to laugh as my very puzzled lifemate opened the package and I played dumb. "I didn't order anything...." hehehehehe When he got it open, he realized that I'd ordered it for him. That, or my expression gave it away. Anyway, I wished him a late happy birthday. He said: "I'll get you later." I said: "Promise?" And what did I get him, you ask? Playboy: Redheads....
