	Well, after much skull sweat I got them more or less naked and being naughty. [More detail would be TMI to discuss in public!] I'm not finished with the scene yet but I'm far enough along that I can pick it up tomorrow. I'm hoping to have Chapter 11 finished up on Wednesday and since I STILL haven't heard from the last agency I queried and they "said" that it would be 3 to 4 weeks and today makes it 2 months, I will be composing a short, civil note inquiring after the status of my query then too. I am hoping that since they have dropped the ball SO thoroughly, they will get back to me promptly with a "yea" or "nay" so I can get on with either sending them the rest of my manuscript or getting it ready to send to DAW.

	....I KNOW what advice Aphrodite gave Our Hero in regards to his lady but how to phrase it? I want to get this last little bit done before I quit for the night. That way I can "possibly" get Chapter 11 done tomorrow. I'd like to have Book 3 done by the end of March/early April and I have a long way to go.

	The "naughty stuff" has reached a satisfactory climax and I've moved on. I "think" I'll be able to finish Chapter 11 tomorrow. [Yes, I know that technically, it already IS "tomorrow" but around here, we don't consider it "today" until the sun comes up!] Anyway, Wednesday should see me tackling Chapter 12.

	I have almost finished "salvage operations" on this section of Chapter 11. I am continually stunned by the number of people who actually believe that they can "write" when all they can do is imitate the work of others and badly at that! Thank the Gods for the Ultimate Chainsaw of Delete!

	Chapter 11 isn't gonna get done tonight. I decided that a conversation that took place at the end of the chapter with one person would do better at the beginning of the chapter with someone else. Soooo..... text has been moved, names are being changed and the scene tweaked so it flows smoothly. So I'm thinking that it won't be done until Thursday. I've been looking ahead. There is a TON of drivel that WILL be cut! The good part about that is that it will make room for new material that actually moves the story forward. I'm about to put Chapter 11 to bed for the night. The chapter's MAJOR problems have been solved unless there is one hiding in the bushes that I haven't spotted yet...

	I'm currently working on getting the Hero and Heroine into a compromising position. THAT part is already written. What I'm working on is how Our Hero comes to be striding into the scene with the Heroine slung over his shoulder in the grand traditional style of the "villain" carrying off the helpless maiden. It still needs work but I think it is coming along and it is an amusing little piece to set the stage before they get down to some serious and intense "naughty."

	The eyes are burning and it will need another read through but I "think" it is safe to call Chapter 11 "done". I can't think of anything else that needs to be put in the story at this point. Now I can concentrate on what remains. A lot of that is my own writing that didn't involve anyone else so it will need only minor modifications. Which means, happy, happy day, I'll be able to give my full attention to the COMPLETELY NEW, NEVER SEEN BY MORTAL EYES 'CAUSE I HAVEN'T WRITTEN IT YET material! I'm gonna have fun with the handfasting between the Hero and Heroine and I've got a murder, an execution and a couple of young teenaged girls to play with. Should be fun!

	I made a quick pass through Chapter 12 before my eyes started getting stern with me and I put it up for the night. There will be lots of "tense changing" as in verb tense as the original was written in present tense and the novels are in past tense but it looks like the bulk of the new material will be going into 13 and 14 which is good since some of it is "set up" for Book 4. sigh Once Book 3 is done I'm REALLY gonna have to buckle down to 4.

	There are times -- like today! -- when the verb tenses of the English language make my head hurt! I have no problem with them when speaking but when writing.... that can be another story! I'm currently editing the "source" material that the books are based on which was written for the most part in "present tense."� The dialogue is still in present tense but I'm making the rest of it "past tense" which seems to make more sense to me. There are times, however, when the cognitive functions refuse to.. well... function when it comes to making present tense verbs into past tense verbs and I'm having one of those times tonight...

	I just copied Chapters 1 through 11 of Book 3 into an untitled word doc for the purpose of finding out how long it is. The text is size 12, font is Times New Roman and the manuscript is single spaced with a one line header for the title and page number. . . . It is 332 pages long. I have 128 pages of original material still to be edited/rewritten. If I add NOTHING which is not likely, the finished manuscript will be nearly 450 pages single spaced. Double spaced, over 900 pages isn't out of the question. Again... There are some hard decisions in my immediate future because if I don't rein this baby in, it could turn into a monster. I may have more of Book 4 already plotted/written that I had thought.

	Well, I started on Chapter 12 this afternoon and I'm past the halfway point so it has been a very good day. I found some stuff that could be cut without sacrificing story and the rewriting that was required resulted in something that made more sense. I should have Chapter 12 done tomorrow or Monday.

	If the Gods are with me, I should have Book 3 ready for editing and tweaking by mid-March and when I take breaks from that, I'll be working on the underpinnings of Book 4 which will, I've decided, be concerned with the "endgame" of a vast conspiracy to control large parts of the world, which has been accomplished, and the final push to complete takeover and domination by a race that considers themselves the "elite" of the world. The only thing standing in the way is Our Heroine and her shiny new nation which has NOT been corrupted. So, NOW, having decided that, I have to figure out just how such a HUGE, planet wide and centuries long plan requiring literally hundreds of thousands of beings to pull off would be organized and how it could be kept secret until it was too late to do anything about it..... THIS is gonna take some skull sweat......

	I'm up to page 18 in Chapter 13 which "should" be about halfway through the chapter. I'm not sure because I just cut about two pages which had a purpose in the original but serve none now so that incident has gone into a file in case I want to rework it and use it later.

	Skull sweat time. I realized that something back in Chapter 12 is not as clear as it should be. So back I go to figure out how to MAKE it clear since it is a vital story point......
