	Did a little work tonight, mostly editing. Not as glamorous as adding new material but it has to be done at some point and I'd rather do it as I go along.

	Did a little more editing tonight. I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped due to having to break up confrontations between the cats. sigh Feline relations are improving but they still seem to be working out the "pecking order".

	I've been trying to "punch up" the FINAL BATTLE between Our Heroine and That Bitch without much success. So I've opened a new word document and I'm starting from scratch. So far, all I've kept in the opening sentence in which Our Heroine charges after the Bitch and her captive -- Our Hero. I've just thrown an armed and vicious "roadblock" in her way and I'm going to wash a few dishes while I think about what happens next......

	Had an idea about what happens a bit farther on. A change of POV seems to be in order. Maybe three POVs. That would certainly mix things up especially since everyone is fighting for their lives and only two will be left standing..... I don't need to tell you which two, do I?

	Slow going since I'm working things out in my head before committing them to text but progress is being made. I guess I'm not going to be one of those writers that cranks out several repetitive potboilers a year. That suits me just fine. For one thing, I prefer to produce quality work as opposed to large quantities of drek -- which is too often the case when a writer driven by ego tries to meet an impossible production standard. For another thing, I have interests other than writing. "Obsessive/Compulsive Writer" does not describe me! "All write and no play" makes Penth a dull girl! Fortunately, several of my interests -- like swords� --play into the kind of writing I do so it is kinda like "research". The authors I admire the most have other interests that are reflected in their work: raptor rehabilitation, martial arts, swordsmanship and, of course..... GAMING! hehehe So I guess I'm aspiring to be in good company!

	Still working on the bloodbath. I have a large number of possible scenarios for this fight that can be combined in any number of ways and sorting through them is taking some time. I completed the rough shaping on my new Hellion's grip today so I'll have to find another way to keep my hands busy while I think or I won't have any fingernails left. I've been known to chew on them while thinking.....

	I've been adding bits and pieces to the bloodbath as they come to me. When I've got everyone who is supposed to be dead, dead, I'll tie it all together. Writing this is kinda chaotic but since the scene itself is chaotic, I suppose that makes sense... Post # 37,037

	Our Hero has no words for what is happening to him at the moment and frankly, I'm at a bit of a loss for words myself so I think I'm going to shut things down for the night and tackle it fresh tomorrow. Maybe inspiration will come after the situation has bubbled in my head overnight.....

	I'm currently trying to figure out how to describe a very advanced martial arts move in which the fighter leaps up, grabs their opponent around the neck with their legs and takes them down. It's cool as heck and perfect for Our Hero. Our Heroine too -- combat wise, she's the Samgaran equivalent of the MCU's Black Widow -- but he needs to show off a bit.

	Okay, That Bitch is dead, the the gap I had between the tearing off of the head and Our Hero and Heroine rejoining the battle is closed. I still have some gap filling to do but I've got this death sequence pretty well figured out. And yes, tearing the Bitch's head off was very satisfying. Hopefully it will sustain me while I write up all the stuff that she'll be doing to deserve it!

	After careful consideration, I've decided that a couple of gaps could be closed without adding further text. I have three gaps that need to be filled with varying amounts of bloodshed so I figured that would be enough blood and gore for this action sequence. When done, this section will be 3� to 4 pages long.

	I've closed another gap and dinner is nearly done. I didn't get too descriptive since it was a "simple" bare-knuckle beating. The two remaining combats should have some choreography in them and be more detailed. Don't think I'll get to that tonight.

	I'm currently trying to visualize a chaotic battle scene 'cause I have to "see" it before I can write it. That might sound strange to some but that's the way I write. The fact that the scene is a swirling mass of bloody chaos does NOT help. Orgies are easier.

	Skywise will be going back to work tomorrow -- he might be home early but he's going to try for the full day -- and since my worry about him is elevated I'm hoping to get back to work. I'm still worried about me but aside from telling the Universe that I will NOT accept anything but a fabulously successful outcome concerning these cataracts there isn't much I can do. So, I will keep my mind busy as much as I can and hopefully some of that "busy" will be usable new material! Post # 37,222

	I closed a gap and I'm going to quit for the night. The rest of this section is all combat and my cognitive functions are slowing down and I really should pull out my Krav Maga book (the one with pictures and exact instructions on how to kill someone attacking you) to polish up one of Our Hero's moves. So I'll see what I can do about writing bloody death tomorrow.

	I've been working on one of my short stories and did some editing on Book 4 while I can still see. Yeah, feeling a bit pessimistic tonight. My appointment with the specialist is next Tuesday so we're hoping to know something by this time next week. I'm trying not to worry and/or eat myself into a coma.....

	I'll be having the surgery, don't know when but I'll be having it so maybe now that the metaphorical concrete block is no longer hanging over my head, I can get some work done. Going over Book 4 tonight it has occurred to me that Our Heroine needs a magickal opponent that can really give her a fight, neither Lord Stephan or Allbane were up to her weight class. Athanasia isn't in her class either and knows it. She prefers "sly and sneaky" to open confrontation and "open confrontation" is exactly what is needed. Time to put the thinking cap on again....

	Still thinking about the new magick user I need. All that's set in stone is gender (male) and the fact that he's as powerful, maybe a little moreso than Our Heroine. I'm still throwing around ideas. Is he Godkin? If he is, who is his Divine parent? Is he even humanoid? He could be a lizardman but given the Lizardmen's racial obsession with ruling the world, why hasn't he taken over already? Could he be a vampire? If he is, is he a True Vampire (romantic kind) or a Demon Vampire (ugly/scary kind)? How does he come to Our Heroine's attention and how does he fit in with the rest of the plot which is pretty much set? I have a feeling I'll be trying ideas "on for size" for a while yet unless a Muse hits me on the head with a brilliant idea....

	Well, one idea has jelled at least. The new magick user is one of the few remaining mages serving the Lords of the Outside. As such, I'm going to have to design a unique appearance for him since Outsider mages acquire some "disturbing" physical characteristics as they advance in their service. Right now, I'm thinking "octopus" with minimal bone structure remaining........
