	We're back! And the mission -- to obtain a 2' x 2' x 3/4 inch piece of plywood -- was a success! �Last year's experiences with the boycats and the Christmas tree were hair-raising so for this year, Skywise and I were agreed that something OTHER than anchoring the tree to the walls and ceiling had to be done! So we will be securely fastening the tree stand to the above mentioned plywood which "should" -- by increasing the base's size in relation to the height of the tree -- make it a LOT harder for the cats to tip the tree over. If necessary, the plywood base is big enough that I can put a weight or two from the weight set on it for extra stability. I also picked up something I'm going to need for my psychic experiments, a cd and a new spell book. All in all, a successful trip!

	The propane company truck is in the driveway. We haven't had a fill up since early last summer. THIS is gonna hurt, I do believe but it's undoubtedly cheaper than gasoline.... Or electricity.

	The propane is in the tank and I have the bill. Propane is less than gasoline ($2.29) but not by a lot. Still, we lucked out. He only had to put 450.1 gallons in the tank rather than the 600 - 700 I was expecting. The Guest House tank still needs to be filled and we should get that bill in a few days since that one is mailed to us. THEN we'll know the full extent of the "damage."

	I've been working on Book 2 all evening. I'm pretty sure that I've finally gotten the "Ares' Boot Camp" continuity straightened out. I hope... Anyway, I'm entirely too crosseyed and brainfried to go over it AGAIN so I'm heading out. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon! We're back from the "two-week stock up" shopping trip. I'm glad that's over! I am now gonna get some tea, get caught up and then see if there is any more shifting around of text that I need to do on Book 2. Later.

	I spent the afternoon proofing and tweaking, gave a hint as to how Our Heroine's father was able to cram so much training for Our Hero into such a short period of time. When my eyes gave out -- burning and watering so hard I couldn't see -- I took a nap with the War Queen. Since I got up, I've been doing housework. Things go to hell so damn FAST when I'm writing. I need staff... Anyway, I'm going to proof a little more and then settle down and watch Smallville at 8. I'll be back after that.

	Watched Smallville. sniff Heroic deaths and somber funerals make me cry. Now I get to wait until January 28, 2011 for the next new episode and wonder what the blinding light that knocked out the funeral party did to them.....

	There! I've finished proofing, correcting and tweaking Book 2! I'm going to give it one final read through before I pronounce it "done" pending editorial suggestions and/or the discovery of more typos! But that won't get done tonight since the manuscript is 625 pages long....

	Afternoon! We're back from Greenwood with mixed success. Oh well, fourteen days left and I have Amazon.com and a credit card! I will NOT be defeated!! The "other shoe" from the gas company has dropped in that we got the bill for the Guest House fill up. We owe a bit over $1,500 for both houses... I think I need tea and another donut.......

	It's been raining steadily all afternoon. I've been taking my time reading Book 2 and I found some places that were improved by tweaking. We've started getting the Christmas tree assembled. The Prince of Midnight's activities necessitated a change in plans, so we'll get it finished up tomorrow after we get back from the museum or early next week sometime. I'm hoping that with the new base on it, the tree will be a lot harder to knock over!

	It sounds like the rain has pretty much stopped and the temp is holding at 41. It will start dropping by morning as the cold front and the nasty weather get closer. The next few days promise to be miserable but not as much as for people around the Great Lakes. Winter has arrived with a bang...

	There! We've had an extremely late lunch to tide us over until dinner which I'll start on in about an hour or so. I'm a tad POed. I had intended to get clear quartz crystal points at the museum gift shop but wouldn't you know it? They no longer carry them! So I will now take myself to amazon and order some there in the hope that there will be suitable stones in the bulk package I'll have to order. snark....

	I've ordered the crystals and the price per piece, postage included, isn't terribly outrageous, especially since I couldn't find any crystals at the museum shop and a New Age/Occult store would want an arm, a leg and the fillings out of my teeth for the amount that I need.

	Morning! I've been sleeping in while Skywise used the computer. The snow has stopped but is colder than a polar bear's toenails out there. Methinks I'll be staying inside today! Fortunately, there is nowhere we have to go before Skywise goes to work which won't be until 4, plenty of time for the crews to get the roads cleared. Right now, I'm going to get a bite and some tea. 	I've finished tweaking Chapter 5. DAMN, that one is a tearjerker! On to Chapter 6 -- which is just as bad in that department -- but once I'm through the first half of this book, things won't be quite so tragic for Our Heroine. Thank the Gods!

	Finished Chapter 6 and I'm through the most "tearjerky" part. Thank the Gods! It's bad when your own writing makes you cry! There is STILL plenty of book to go but there is some humor in around the serious stuff. The first 6 chapters were pretty much ALL "serious stuff." Since I still have a couple of hours -- at least -- to go before Skywise gets home, I'm starting on Chapter 7.
