	We're back from our expedition and we had some success. I'll be doing a little shopping online later to see if I can ferret out a few things. Skywise will be leaving at three so I'll be getting busy here in a minute. But first, some tea.

	I've finished going through Chapter 7. Seven down, five to go. I'm gonna give my eyes a break while I get a load of laundry in the machine and see what else I need to tend to and then I'll get started on Chapter 8.

	Eyes are rested and the laundry is in the dryer. I may do another load once this one is dry. I'm now going to get some fresh tea and get into Chapter 7. I'm finally past the heart wrenching stuff so I expect that the tweaking will be easier.

	Chapter 8 is done. I don't know if I'll start on 9 tonight or not. The eyes are getting a little wonky but Gods willing, I'll have this done by the end of the week -- only four chapters left to go through -- and I can give my long suffering peepers a rest then. Then it will be back to Book 3 and the hunt for a literary agent!

	It's snowing, gently with no sign of "freezing anything" for which I'm grateful! I made a pan of brownies tonight and a big bowl of shortbread dough is in the refrigerator. I'll make it up into cookies tomorrow and probably make some chocolate chip cookies too since Skywise has been hinting rather broadly that I should make some and soon! I'm going to spend the rest of the evening going over Book 2 -- or will for as long as my eyes hold out!

	I'm done tweaking Chapter 9 and ready to start on 10 as soon as I get a sandwich. The girls are already fed and I'll admit it, I DID hit the brownies as soon as I could get them out of the pan! So I'm not terribly hungry right now. If my eyes hold out, I should have the tweaking done by tomorrow night. Then I can concentrate on the holidays, Book 3 and my other "projects."

	Morning! We have snow, exactly how much I have no idea but the bottom step of the back steps has disappeared! We're gonna be trying to get out of here today, I just heard the snow plow go by so the road should be reasonably clear. Getting out of the driveway might be interesting though. Oh well, time to check the weather reports...

	Skywise has checked everything out and he says that once we're out of the driveway, we should have no problem getting to town which is good 'cause we need some stuff! We're heading out. Be back when we're back!

	We're back from town. The trip wasn't too bad although knuckleheads who think that because they have big tires and 4 wheel drive that they can drive like the roads were clean and dry provided some "entertainment" on the way out of town. The trickiest part was getting back into the driveway. We parked the van about a quarter of the way down the drive, close to the road but not so close that it would be in danger from skidding drivers or snowplows. I now have enough milk, eggs, vanilla and shortening to continue baking. Life is good....

	I got a small batch of shortbread baked but I've put off starting the chocolate chip cookies 'cause it's almost time to start the pizzas. And truth be told, I'm starting to flag a bit. It's been a long day. BUT, no writing tomorrow so unless something unexpected comes up, I'll have pretty of time to make cookies tomorrow.

	Afternoon! I've been up for a while, mainly clearing away the debris in the kitchen. When you have dinner at 1:30 am, cleaning up afterward does NOT appeal! So the first thing to do this morning was getting things tidied up. I think I'm going to take some "me" time today before I dive back into the "holiday rush."

	I've started doing some minor work on Book 3 in an attempt to coax some inspiration into being. I could use a Muse. sigh It'll come now that Book 2 is as off my plate as it can get without being published yet! I think I'm going to have to spend some time figuring out the conspiracy, which is probably going to have to slop over into Book 4 and whatever book comes after that one that isn't "backstory." First, I guess I'd better decide which of my two major villainesses is behind it -- the one I'll probably be killing off in Book 4 or the one who was behind at least some of Our Heroine's troubles in the first two books...

	Afternoon! We got home a while ago but I had some bills to get ready for Skywise to take to work since the letter carrier comes impossibly early on Saturdays. Now I have them ready to go, I have tea and I'm listening to Christmas music. And it's gonna be a White Christmas... Life is good. Hectic. But good.

	Well, I had to spend some time in the dark bedroom due to the glare from the snow frying my eyes. On the plus side, I was able to puzzle a couple of things out for Book 3 that had been giving me trouble so the time wasn't wasted and I DID get a little nap in. Since I got up, I got a little decorating done, washed a few dishes and put a few more to soak and I've gotten a load of laundry started. The plan is to make up a batch of chocolate chip cookies before I make dinner since my eyes are STILL wanting to be uncooperative. sigh I love having green eyes but sometimes -- like now -- they are a pain.

	I got the cookies made and they are good. Most of the dishes are washed and dinner is almost done. I also got a little more done on Book 3 tonight, burning eyes and blurry vision not withstanding.
