	Dinner's over and we're all stuffed. An interesting story "problem" has developed that I have to come up with a solution for. I missed it the first time around but now that the Castle is gonna be a book read by (hopefully) millions more than one person would catch the error if it went through. SO, I gotta solve the problem which will also confront the characters and if they are gonna find the solution, "I" gotta find it first!

	Morning. Welcome to the first Monday in January. We're getting ready to head into town unless plans change, it's gonna be a busy morning. The holidays are over and it's time to get back to our regular routine which I'm hoping won't be a chaotic as what we've been having. Later.

	We're back from town and it was such a relief to have the Wal-Mart almost to ourselves. That's normally the case when we shop since we're in and out before noon but during Christmas shopping season the place is always semi to completely packed. I do not like crowds when I'm shopping. It's makes me seriously cranky....

	I'm making some headway on various projects and a little progress on Book 3 where I have figured out the solutions to the previously mentioned problem. Yeah, there need to be two solutions. More writing to do but the result will be the same.

	Making some progress on all fronts but not as much as I'd like. The hot water heater isn't keeping up with demand and that's slowing things down but tomorrow is another day. I'm coming up with things that need to be added to Book 3 and getting them put in the right places. There will need to be some polishing done but that's okay. That is what tweaking is for!

	Morning! I got up a while ago but I've been busy with one thing and another and I'm just now getting settled down to post. I'm going to finish up the "naughty stuff" I was writing last night and hopefully make more progress on Book 3 today. Our Heroine's Brother needs to do some thievery for the cause -- a couple of times actually -- so I may be working out the details of that today. Right now, I need more tea! Later!

	I've ended up working on the "scientific" part of this story arc and consequently, I've been doing some fast research on the reproductive habits of viruses, spores and bacteria and I must say, I think we human-types definitely got the better deal! Anyway, I think I've come up with a solution that sounds plausible given the level of technology available to Our Heroine's daughters. The things you have to know -- or be able to find out -- to be a writer....

	My feet were cold so I went to get them warm and ended up with the War Queen lying on me. You KNOW where this is going, don't you? The nap did me good and before I fell asleep I figured out how the virus in Book 3 does what I need it to do. Now all I have to do is figure out how and where to insert that information in the story. Before I sat down here, I got the dishwasher started so in about ninety minutes I'll have another load of dishes washed. Thre are probably some stray plates or bowls around -- there always seem to be a few -- but I'll have most of them done. Tomorrow, I'll be doing laundry until I run out of dirty clothes and THEN I should be reasonably caught up with the most pressing chores and I can start on the less pressing ones. Current plans are for taking as much to the recycling bin as we can on Saturday so I'm gonna be getting that stuff together. Right now though, I'm gonna sit here, drink tea and write before I need to start dinner.

	Morning! I've been up for a while but the furpersons with whom we share the house went on a rampage last night and a certain amount of "picking up and putting back" was necessary right off the bat this morning. It didn't help that I woke up with a headache. I'm hoping that an application of caffeine will take care of it. If not, I'll trot out the painkillers 'cause I really don't have time for such foolishness today.

	I've been doing editing and tweaking on Book 3. Since I've made some major changes in certain plot elements, I have to go through and make sure that everything fits. Fortunately, I have a pretty good memory of where those changes need to be made. I may not recall what chapter it's in but I usually remember the post/conversation/paragraph. Still have a headache.... curse it.

	I finally gave up and took a painkiller. Once it takes hold I "should" be able to think better. I am making some headway on Book 3 but I'd do better if my cognitive functions were up to speed...

	Morning! We got up early -- for us! -- this morning and headed into town. We had an early lunch and picked up the bulky items that were on tomorrow's shopping list so we won't be trying to cram them into the van along with everything else! I'm now going to settle down and figure out the ins and outs of the criminal enterprise that is at the center of the plot in this section of Book 3.

	I've been busy, not necessarily with writing, but the brain has been thinking. I'm seriously considering moving some of the action in Book 3 that happens prior to the handfasting to Book 4. I'll make the decision when I have a better idea of how long Book 3 is going to be. If it's much over 600 pages (double spaced), cutting will be required and the section I'm thinking of would fit into the first part of Book 4 nicely..

	It was a quiet afternoon. I finally got warm but not until I got into bed with the War Queen and turned on my electric blanket. Of course I fell asleep! Now, we have the football game on and dinner is almost ready. We might have some major snow by Tuesday so I'm going to be keeping an eye on the weather forecasts. At least I'll get to use my new shiny-red weather radio that Skywise got me for Christmas.
