	YES!!! One of my problems is solved! I can grab something from Book 1 and use it in Book 3! I WILL therefore weld the Ultimate Chainsaw of Delete viciously and thereby avoid having to twist my story into knots.... It is a GOOD day...

	Afternoon. Ran off this morning and went to Hancock Fabrics in Greenwood. THEY had chiffon! I wanted 11 yards but they had 2 approximately 3 yard sections and one 9 yard sections. So I just took it all and I'll figure out how to get two skirts out of it! Probably have enough left for a veil or two too. But that is for a bit later. Right now I need tea!

	It looked like it was going to get interesting this afternoon, weatherwise, but nothing developed. Of course, the night is young so the potential is still there. We could use some rain, things are getting a little too dry. I've been working on Chapter 6. It's slow going but at least it's coming. Thinking about my next query which I'm planning to send out the first Friday in August, barring the arrival of a request to see Book One from the last agent I queried. She's one of those "if you don't hear from me in XX weeks, I'm not interested." types. Like she can't hire an intern to send out "Sorry, but no thanks." emails? sigh Later.

	Afternoon! We took off for Floral Gulch as soon as we hit the floor this morning. We got some new walkie-talkies since mine was about worn out and some other odds and ends. My music cd arrived today. Iz happy! Nice soothing flute music, good for "slow moves" belly dancing. I'm sitting here listening to it while having my tea. Once I'm cooled off enough (it's HOT out there!) I'll be working on Chapter 6. It's ALL good. Later.

	I've been working on Chapter 6. I'm up to page 25 of 45 pages but since I have a LOT of new material to put in, I'm probably closer to the end of the chapter as far as page count is concerned. How close is anyone's guess at this point. I've also been listening to HOURS of dance music this afternoon, trying to pick what will be played for the dancer at Our Hero's bachelor party. Knowing the music will make it easier for me to describe the dancing when I get to that part. The dancer has a surprise for Our Hero but I'M not telling! Skywise has the REALLY late shift tonight so I'll be here yawning until about 3:30 am.

	Afternoon! It's been a busy morning so far but things are starting to settle down some. Skywise will be leaving soon and I'll be settling in to write. 	I got work done along with my workout. I'm going to spend the rest of the evening roughing out a police raid/shootout and figuring out what they find afterward that ties in with the rest of what I'm doing. I might throw in a red herring or two just because such things show up in real life investigations. Might also need to dig out my reference book on police procedures to get some ideas. Need a first name for the High Commissioner of Police.... And dinner needs to be made at some point. Later.

	We went into town for lunch and I got some more storage boxes to corral my belly dance stuff. The fabric, components, beads and various trims needed to make more costumes was making it hard to find the costumes and accessories that I've already finished! I'm going to need a bigger box for jewelry but what I have will do until I can make the wooden chest I've designed for my costumes. Yeah, gonna be making a serious wooden box for my dance gear. I'm gonna stain it ebony and if it comes out like I envision it, it's gonna be SO cool! Right now, I'm debating whether to put a container of cedar chips in it or use a bunch of herbal sachets. Oh well, time to decide that later since I'm still fine tuning the design of the chest and the coolest way to put the crest on the front....

	I need MORE sustenance since I have a headache that refuses to take itself elsewhere and taking 1000 mg of aspirin on an empty or nearly empty stomach is a MAJOR bad idea, so I need to eat something more filling than a couple of pop-tarts! I've done some picking up this morning and, on the writing front, I've roughed out a "Tech Level Index" that once it's done, will give me -- and anyone else reading it -- a rough idea of the technology level of any given area. No area on my planet has a Tech Level less than what was available in the 1940s -- which means radios, early aircraft, telegraphs, etc. There may be more primitive areas but NOT because the tech won't work there. The highest level will support intergalactic travel although no one currently on the planet can leave it. Now all I have to do is decide what tech goes into which level. Then I suppose I should work out some sort of "Cultural Index" thingy to classify that since there are a wide variety of cultures on the planet too. That one will be trickier since a number of factors go into defining a culture.... Ohhh.... food, Penth, then aspirin. Later.

	Headache went away and I managed to get the police raid written. I may embellish it later but I've got the bones down and I can work from that. The High Commissioner has found what I need him to find. Now I just need to figure out what it is! Several possibilities are presenting themselves and I'll have to sort them out. I don't want to be TOO obvious!

	It's been a busy morning/afternoon. Skywise has taken the boycats for a walk and I've been making some notes about Crowhaven, Castletown and Midnight Falls that will eventually be the basis for a "Town Book" type publication probably in conjunction with an RPG. I'm still working/thinking about the "shootout" scene which has moved into the "Holy , Batman! What IS that?" stage. I'll write it as soon as I'm sure about what they've found! Once I have that done to my satisfaction, things should go along pretty quickly.

	Turned into a busy evening too. I've just about figured out what was found at the shootout. When I'm sure, I'll bet back to writing. I've been doing some stuff over at the sister-site, getting ready for the changeover to the new board software. Also have a BUNCH of stuff to think about/process that I learned over there which is going to take a while. I'm gonna have to find time for it though. Things need to change and change faster than they have been.
