Oh, and an ex came back out of the woodwork today...

He'd been out of my life for 10 years, when he suddenly friended me on Facebook a few months ago.  We talked a bit online, then saw each other, just as friends, once several months ago.  And I didn't hear much from him after that.

Then today, he tells me that he broke up with his girlfriend of 10 years, the one he has three kids with, because seeing me made him realize how unhappy with her he his, and how much he missed being with me.

Now, mind you, we dated for two weeks 15 years ago, right at the end of my senior year of high school.  I was 17, he was 21, and I fell HARD for him.  He strung me along for the next 5 years, me thinking that he'd finally decide to be with me, and him just basically liking the fact that I put out.  I got tired of it, got a tattoo, and ended things with him permanently.  Got married to someone else 6 months later...

And now he shows up and tells me what a mistake letting me go was, blah, blah, blah... ugh... really?  really?  Uni is TWISTED.

If he'd come to me two months ago?  Yeah, I'd have jumped at it.  If he'd come to me any time in the last 10 years, I'd have jumped at it in a heartbeat.  No questions asked.  Yes, yes, yes.  Even when I was married.  I thought about him every day for years after ending it with him.

But now that I'm with Jeremy?  I didn't even hesitate to say NO FRACKING WAY!  I'm with someone I love and who loves me and who doesn't play the freaking head games, or the leave me for my best friend and make me the mistress crap (and yes, R was the first to do that to me, ex-hubs was the second!)  For one thing, my best friends are the sister and cousin of my boyfriend, so if he left me for one of them... icky!  LOL

And it was the fact that I immediately said, "No, I'm with someone," that makes me realize how much I love Jeremy.  How totally and completely I have given myself to him.  Because even when I was married to M, I'd have left him for R.  But not Jeremy.

But yeah...  Uni really needs to work on that sense of proportion...

And I agree with Sita, AR. Looks to me like Uni knows that J is "the One" but wants to make sure that you know it and it looks to me like you do. LOL

Things started off with a bang this morning, literally. We were awakened at an indecent (for us) hour by a very loud thunderstorm.
Skywise decided that he'll take the car to the auto shop tomorrow when the likelihood of the sky opening up should be greatly reduced!
That decided, we ran into town to pay the electric bills -- which are due tomorrow -- since there is enough running around on tomorrow's schedule!
There was another band of storms headed this way from Illinois but it looks to be weakening and drifting southward. Since we got around 2 inches of the wet stuff this morning, the second wave can just go somewhere else although there is NO PLACE in this part of the country that needs rain!
I am now going to get some tea and look at the book that came in the mail today. I found it in Border's for $19.95, went to Amazon and found a vendor who was selling the same book, new, for a dollar. With postage, the price of the book was $4.99. Can't beat that!

I'm not that fond of whole wheat bread either but I always get my Subway sandwiches on whole wheat. It might have something to do with the way that whole wheat bread is made commercially.

Summer is officially here... Hubby brought home a box of locally grown strawberries, which means SUMMERTIME in my mind!!

And yeah, they are tasty!!

Color me slow, but what do we do in these "what's happenin'?" threads exactly? Lol.

Yeah, I didn't want to be a "copycat" when I set things up back in the day.

And if you are wondering why we've had ten previous threads by that name, the servers supplied by our first server host got "confused" when a thread went much past 1000 posts so when the current thread hit that number, we locked it and started a new one. Deirachel (our TechGod who discovered the problem) started the custom of putting "movie sequel type" titles on the threads. We've changed hosting companies and the length of the thread is no longer a consideration but I've kept up the custom because, basically, I like coming up with semi-goofy subtitles for the thread!


Yes, in addition to being an "ebil woman" I am a certified nutlog.....

It's a sunshine filled morning, it's gorgeous outside today... But the humidity is WAY up again... BLECH.
