Afternoon.
It's hotter in the house than outside. We'll probably close the place up after a while and turn the a/c back on to take the humidity down. It's sticky but still NO rain. *Pout!*
I'm about to start on my second glass of tea and then the dishes which I hope I can do without heating the place up too much.

I've closed up the house and turned the a/c back on. It's 88 in the kitchen and I need to get busy in there. So the a/c is on and as soon as it cools off a bit, I'll be hitting the kitchen

I think my high school girlfriend is trying to kill herself.  And there's nothing I can do about it, because all I have to contact her is the prepaid phone number provided to her by her drug dealer boyfriend.

Morning!

I'm only in for a short while today, it's "Family Get Together Day" today and my aunt's birthday. The get together is our now annual thing with part of my mom's family and to celebrate Mom's, Aunt's and my birthdays (our birthdays are all within 9 days of each other!).

Tomorrow and Tuesday will be the exhibition of my uncle's paintings, plus lectures on his life and work. I just wish he was still alive to see how much his talent was appreciated. *SIGHS*

Penth, I'm so sorry your day's plans were changed.  Smiley Give my love to Moonie and Spirit too please!

Time to check my SP Pets and get caught up quickly before I finish getting things ready. I'm not sure what time Sissy is picking me up, she has an hour's trip ahead of her (she lives in the Annapolis Valley) and it could be as early as noon or as late as 3 p.m.

I just heard from Sissy by text and they are just about to pick up my nephew from his dad's house.... They'll be in the area within the next 90 minutes, but won't be picking me up for another 2 hours....

So due to an odd series of events, J's mom now knows I'm pregnant.

That was one that we were dreading, and turns out that she's okay with it, as long as it doesn't derail his military plans, which of course, I won't let it.

Now, to tell my mom.  That's not going to be so pretty.

So my mother sent me a very not nice email today after I called and told her I'm pregnant.  All about how I'm a bad mother to my son and blah, blah, blah, and how she can't support me in this pregnancy and so on.  I just got up and walked away from the computer.  And came back to J finishing and sending an email to her.  He was not happy at all about what she said to me, and he gets quite mad at anyone that stresses me out at this point, because we're both worried that I'm going to miscarry.

Yeah, my ex had no problem pushing me around, and was happy to let anyone else push me around as well.  He often sat back and laughed while my mother went off on her rants.

Jeremy?  Yeah... no one is allowed to push me around, and he has no problem making his opinion known.  He fired off an email telling her basically that it doesn't matter what she thinks of me or him, and that she needs to get over herself, because I'm having his baby, and it's going to be her grandbaby whether she likes it or not.

His mom, on the other hand, took the news very, very well.  She's looking forward to her first grandchild Smiley

I find it funny that his parents are okay with it, and he's only 20, and just graduated from high school.

I'm 32, have a 13-year-old son, have a steady job that gives me enough money to support not only us, but other people as well, and my parents have flipped the freak out about this.

They probably think that J's gonna get bored once you get about 5 - 6 months along and run off with an eighteen year old stripper....
Or wait until you're neck-deep in dirty diapers and then bail on you with twin centerfold models...
Parents can be weird. I say this as a parent.
