Morning!
Skywise headed over to the auto shop with the car a while ago. Here's hoping that it is a simple fix.
It's sunny and dry this morning. It's cool so far but Skywise and I suspect we'll have to close the place up and turn on the a/c later.
Right now, I need some tea!

Skywise got back okay -- the auto shop guys gave him a lift home -- and he's now left for work. I have instructions to call the shop at 4 if they haven't called us by then.

We've closed the house up and turned the a/c back on. Both temperature and humidity are going up so we knew we were going to have to do it, it was just a question of "when." We decided to turn it on before it reached "unbearable" in the house.

I have Word up and the C1 file open... I may work on the latter part of the scene while I have some quiet time, the guys have been gone to town for the last couple of hours and I do have a small vision.... *scratching head*

So the guys got home within 2 minutes of me starting to work on UT #7.. FIGURES... I'll work on it later tonight if I'm not too tired by the time BIL and his girlfriend go home.

Wishing I had some ice to make some iced coffee... I may sneak down to the store before BIL gets here... Iced coffee: *drooling like Homer Simpson*

Changed the barbell in my tongue.  It's now got pink balls.  And feels awkward again, because the balls are bigger than on the starter barbell.

Considering going on a murderous rampage.  It might be fun.  Because I am very, very frustrated with a BF who will not be back for another week.

Dad's first eye surgery went well. His second one is next week, after the holiday.

My laptop is on it's last legs. Not even the cooling pad is helping much anymore.

So if I'm not on as much as usual it's because I have to keep letting it cool down every 20 minutes or so :/

Have you tried vacuming it out?  I've found it to be helpful to vacum the fan vents.  depending on how old it is more or newer ram may help, the more ram you have the less work your hd has to do.

And I'm in very late again.  Partly because my brain works better when it's cooler here, and partly beause I've been following the Casey Anthony trial.  Hopefully it will be over soon and there will be some justice.  It's a real gong show!  ((hugs)) all around and hope to type at y'all soon! <3

Sita, I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that you get a working, reliable computer so you're around more...

Morning all!! It's a cloudy, cool and humid day here in my area... Not complaining though, after yesterday, this cool weather is a relief!!

I am around for a while, I'll be catching up in here and other spots, along with reading the "review" on the Bachelorette I forgot to read yesterday... My midweek rolling on the floor laughing my head off session...  Smiley

I did get some writing done last night, I'll update everyone in more detail in my Writings and Grumbling thread shortly.

Now to open Facebook and Super Poke Pets in other tabs while I get caught up in here.... Cheesy

Had 11 teenagers sleeping in the house last night.  Insane.

And these are not nice, sweet, well-behaved teenagers either.  These are kids from broken homes, with abusive, alcoholic parents.  Kids who smoke and drink and think they can't live if they aren't in a relationship.  They're all a mess.

And somehow, with me, in my house, they are the most respectful kids in the world.  They love it here.  They have fun.  And they don't cause me any problems at all.

Afternoon!!

We ran to town this morning, paid the mortgage (so the place is ours for another month!), hit Wal-Mart for some odds and ends that we forgot to get last Friday, had lunch, put gas in the van (OUCHIE!!!!!) and stopped at the auto shop to check on the car. Smiley I'm supposed to call the shop later to see what they've found out. They had a motor for the stuck window coming in but had just started checking to find out why the engine light keeps coming on... *sigh*
