Have a good storm going on here. Lots of noise and wind and rain.
Radar shows it to be a small yet intense cell so hopefully it'll be over soon.

Hopefully Smokey doesn't get freaked out. Poor guy does not like thunder.

Hot and dry as a bone here too. We "might" get some rain over the next couple of days. Skywise is hoping that when Tropical Storm Don comes ashore the effects will make it this far north. I don't know if the storm is strong enough to make it this far but we'll see.

Sitting in the room, just B and I.  He's playing video games, and I'm working.  J is at his aunt's house, and miserable.  He wants to come back, but it's "family time."  Oh yay for him... LOL

LOL  I'm happy to avoid "family time" as much as possible Smiley  I could have gone today, but didn't really want to!  His family actually likes me, for the most part.  His parents both like me a lot, and the aunt he'd been living with adores me.  So it's all good.  But I don't really do well with large groups of people, and that's what they've got going right now.  So yeah, I'll pass!

Yeah, I know!  His parents know we're dating; they don't yet know we're planning a wedding.  Not looking forward to that one; they're already worried I'll hold him back from living his life and doing what he wants to do, even though I wouldn't hold him back in anyway.  I've already told him whatever he does I'm behind him 100%, and I'll follow him all over the world if I have to.

Before long, it's going to get to where I'm expected at family events... yeah... my last in-laws were INSANE, so that kinda freaks me out...

If your ex-in-laws are anything like their son, I really don't see how J's parents could be worse since he is presumably NOT visiting them in a maximum security prison....

Miss Noelle is TICKED... We did a fur on the bum trim on her today and she YOWLED the entire time we were doing that... She's munching on TNT pepperoni right now but her tail is still swishing back and forth.

I know she doesn't like it but trimming the fur on her bum is a necessary evil!! Sad

Yeah, fur trimming is a PITA but a necessary evil. Noelle is the first long haired cat we've had in our house and it's something I don't like doing to her. However, I think her mood improved the instant I gave her a piece of the TNT (ULTRA spicy) pepperoni... Grin Nanny used to trim Noelle's fur occasionally and we've tried to keep up with it here... But even with that, she still got one HECK of a stinky mess on her bum overnight, so we had to do a "trim" and get the gunk out. Poor furbaby. Sad
