My Mom was a fan of romance novels as long as they weren't TOO graphic. She'd probably blush at mine once she realized that at least some of the steamy stuff was roleplayed live by DK and me. Smiley The Gods know it upset a lot of people at the time!

My great grandmother loved romance novels too, but the stuff she read was pretty tame, not a lot of over 18 stuff in them. She passed in 1973 and things weren't quite as "risque" as they are now.

My mother would look at you and ask you how you could do that while you're married and fully dedicated to your husband! She wouldn't get that it was roleplaying, and it's like acting in a way! Smiley

There are just some who can't help but lie constantly, unfortunately. *SIGH* However, when the lies are exposed and the truth comes out, they look pretty darn stupid... Which always makes my ebil widdle heart sing with joy... Heh.

My sister would probably think it was cool that you roleplayed a lot of it live, with approval from your husband... Yeah, she and I actually agree on SOME things...

We have sunshine and temps are supposed to go up in the low 20s C or about 70F. It's nice to see the sun for a change, it's been rainy and cold lately!

Afternoon, I'm in too. I managed to sleep through most of the night which considering what Skywise told me just before bed, is a miracle.

It seems that when he went to the emergency room a week ago Thursday, his first blood pressure reading was 224/180 which he didn't tell me about. Smiley I only heard about the second reading which was 201/133.

I think I'll have tea now...

That's probably why he didn't mention it although when our new Doctor found out that they hadn't done any bloodwork or EKG or a chest x-ray on him, she was not a happy lady. I suspect that someone is going to hear about it at some point soon. And thanks, the tranks are very welcome!

They should have done at LEAST an EKG on him, if not bloodwork, and the whole kit and kaboodle at the ER... YIKES. If someone went into the ER with that high of BP and they didn't check it, their family doc would have had MORE than a fit (or mine would at least!) and whatever doc is was would have been up "the creek" without a paddle............. Sheesh!!!!

Son and I were watching some Doctor Who vids on YT a while ago and he's still talking about them. We're a little antsy for the 50th anniversary episode because well, DAVID TENNANT!!!  Smiley Smiley Red converse sneakers and a trench coat anyone???? Cheesy (I think he's so sexy in a geeky sort of way...)

I suspect that there will be repercussions even if we don't hear about them, especially after Skywise sends the survey form back which should be arriving any day now. Our doctor and the other doctors that operate out of that building (separate from but part of the hospital complex) have their own lab in the building and since Skywise was fasting (too nervous to eat) they went ahead and did the blood draw. He'll have to go to the hospital's lab for the EKG and x-ray but that's not a problem. He also found out that she (our doc) has a free, walk in clinic every afternoon which is handy to know.

Those walk in clinics are great! We have a "walk in" clinic too at our hospital but it's a joke. They take only up to 25 people and they draw numbers for it. There are some that go for HANGNAILS and are there EVERY day and whine if they don't get in. If you ask me, our "walk in clinic" should be called the hypochondriacs corner because that's all you see there. Roll Eyes

Our town will be getting a five doctor clinic near the end of the year, with rotating doctors. It's to help the demand for GPs in the area, so more people go to a GP instead of the ER if they need their prescriptions refilled, etc. The problem is getting docs to run it because the province pays half of what other provinces pay their doctors and all GPs go out west or down to the States. It's nuts. Roll Eyes

I don't think we have that problem here, or at least not as much. When we left the ER when I went there, the ER waiting room was empty and it was still pretty early in the evening. The only time it's really busy is if there is a bad accident on the highway or a weather disaster. We were lucky in '02. The tornado was heading straight for the hospital and wrecked several buildings at the fairgrounds which are right next to the hospital but at the last minute, the tornado lifted and skipped over the hospital and the National Guard Armory and didn't drop down again until it was out in open country.

Someone once said that if our partially covered health care was regulated by the federal government or there was equal pay for docs in every province there wouldnt' be a shortage in the eastern part of the country with a surplus out west. It's true, all docs that stay in Canada are generally in Quebec - west over the Maritimes, where I am.
