	Thanks. I'm feeling a little better today, obviously, because I actually opened one of the manuscripts. Yesterday, just the thought of editing made me want to cry because I felt so rotten. Today isn't so bad, but my head still feels like it's filled with cement, a few tonnes of it. Yuck. I think about six cups of half caff helped that though. I'll probably pay up for that tonight when I'm trying to get some sleep. SIGH

	Okay, I'll be around for a couple of hours, no worries. I'll be quiet though, editing what I wrote today and after that, working on the formatting of Book 1, maybe even attacking that synopsis if the brain will work a little more.

	LOL, I'd be one dead duck if we ever ran out of Cat's dry food. That's all she eats nowadays, we've tried her with canned stuff since Fluffo passed away, and she won't touch it so we stopped giving it to her, and the rest of the canned stuff we had in the house was given to family for their furbabies. The editing and adding missed commas and words in Book 1 continues... I've caught a few more spots in Chapter 28 that were missing a word or two. I'll be starting chapter 29 in a few minutes, after I get some dishes done. BARF!!!

	Son's cough sounds like he's breaking up some of the "GUNK" in his lungs (he has a lot of congestion and is on antibiotics for it) and I feel like someone filled the sinuses with wet sand. Ew.

	The hard copy self publishing is something I'd be interested in, just in case I don't get on with a traditional publishing house. I want to know about all avenues of self publishing that I can, even before I start sending Book 1 out to publishers! My Girl Guide/Scout "Be Prepared" training is rearing its head and in this case, it's a GOOD thing... I've got most of the dishes out of the way and am soaking something now, it should be ready in a little bit. Thank the stars for non scratch scrubbers/buffers, that's all I'm saying.....

	One of my best friends is off to the New England States sometime soon and is determined to meet Stephen King. Look, I may write romance stuff but geez, he's a legend in the writing world in my opinion. Yeah, his stuff is creepy as heck and he's weird but good grief, that man can WRITE. I've been reading his stuff on and off since I was in my teens. I have a feeling his stuff will still be in print long after his death, like Bram Stoker or Mark Twain. He's that good and is that popular! I sooooooooooooo envy my friend if she gets to meet him... Lucky devil!!! LOL

	As you know, I'm thoroughly disenchanted with the epublishing experiences I've had so far so before I leap into hard copies, I want to know what all the options are, what they cost and what, if anything, I can expect from whoever handles the printing of my books since I'm not planning on obtaining a printing plant and warehouse....

	I know. Self publishing can be the pits unless you're either well known or have a knock off of something popular up. SIGH I'm in the middle of going over Chapter 29 and am at a break between scenes so I'm going to get Son's supper in the toaster oven and see if his lunchbox is dry yet so I can pack the non perishable stuff. I had to wash it out because he spilled juice in it at lunch today.

	No matter how much "pep talk" the professionals spout, the plain fact of the matter is that a lot of "stuff" gets published because it is a ripoff of something popular or is something so formulaic that it might as well be a ripoff. There are too few agents, editors and publishers who are willing to stick their necks out and take a chance on something original. So very little original material gets published along with a lot of dreck that will end up out of print and forgotten in five years but the publishers and agents will have made money from it and the editors will still have their jobs.

	It's getting to that point in almost every genre. There's a certain "rip off" that may make my work seem too "Tame" and "boring" because it is ORIGINAL and because of that, I don't think I'm going to get on with any publishing house. Hubby, tabby and a few others think otherwise, but I'm being realistic here. SIGH I have to be, else I'm going to be ultra hurt when the rejections start rolling in. I know they're going to, my stuff is either too tame or in some cases, too long, for most places.

	Well, I just found another way to clear the sinuses and to break up some gunk in the lungs. Make sweet and sour sauce with very strong white vinegar and make sure you inhale the fumes. I'm coughing to beat the old band but geez, I can feel some of the stuff in the lungs breaking up a bit. Gross, but effective. I'm gonna go hack up a lung now....
