	The humidity has gone down to 63% but the temperature has gone up so it is STILL uncomfortable. The clouds are starting to build up and storms are expected later. I won't complain -- until something falls on the roof or parts of it get "removed" 'cause we could use some rain.

	STILL no rain but the SunLord is off the roof -- has been for a long while -- and I'm sitting here listening to the Avengers: Age of Ultron soundtrack album. There's laundry on the bed that I need to put away which I will do once the album is finished.

	Things went well. We got there before the two other callers did and scooped up the van! For once, the automotive gods were on our side! Spirit was sad to leave the Windstar behind -- I did my best to prepare her for that and that we'd never see it again -- but she likes the fact that she and Moonie each have their own door to get in and out of. No more climbing out of the back seat/being climbed over! The ride is very smooth and Skywise thinks I'll like driving it. Skywise is of the opinion that the new van needs its own name and I agree so the name "Centennial Phoenix" is being retired. "There can be only one...." This is what the new van looks like now. We're going to get it painted as soon as possible. "RED" of course. "Laser Red Clearcoat Metallic" if we can get it. What is black will stay black and what is white will be red. It's gonna look SO COOL!

	Back. A storm came up suddenly and knocked me offline and nearly took out the lights. I shut everything down but fortunately, the lights stayed on. Now that things have settled down and I have the satellite signal back, I'll get caught up, again. Damn! I just heard thunder again.... Post #35,432

	We're back from town. The van is in the shop -- transmission problem. The Freestar is obviously following in the grand tradition of the Windstar... At least we won't need to go anywhere before Thursday and that won't be a heavy shopping day. Looks like my first time behind the Freestar's wheel will be bringing it back from the shop.

	It's supposed to be in the 40s tonight. At least it's supposed to be dry and warm up by midweek. I'm not in favor of triple digit temperatures and high humidity but digging out extra blankets in June (in the NORTHERN hemisphere anyway) is going too far in the other direction!

	Greetings!! We're back. Spirit was insisting that we go into town for lunch and when she insists, there is no peace so we went. On the way into town we passed the auto shop and saw the van in the front lot where they park the vehicles that are ready for pickup. So when we were done we stopped to check on it. The van was done and the the problem was a fuse that wasn't connecting properly. He cleaned it, got it to connect like it should and all the scary lights went off. He test drove it -- running it up one of the higher local hills -- and it performed beautifully. I drove it home and had no problems. It handles like the Windstar but a bit better. The bill was mainly for his time spent tracking down the problem and didn't even make my credit card blink.

	Skywise is at work and I've been designing a special "tote" for the van since Freestars don't have a console between the front seats and we're used to having one. My "go everywhere/writing" tote fits in that spot nicely so I'm going to make something a little bigger with dividers to keep things neat. A couple of things that are currently in my tote "may" end up in the van tote, we'll have to see. While I working on that I've been listening to my new "Two Steps from Hell" album -- Battlecry -- and it is very inspirational. Nothing like an epic cd or two to use as a soundtrack to your life....

	Facebook is boring. It's filled with too many stories about the celebrity "formerly known as Bruce" both pro and con. I have no real problem with "sex reassignment". What I have a problem with is being hit over the head with it everywhere I turn. sigh The media is using this story in a cynical attempt to distract people from the "important stuff" that they SHOULD be paying attention to. If they were paying attention, serious attention, they'd be holding the politicians feet to the fire [maybe literally] until they cleaned up the mess they've made. sigh No such luck though. I'll be spending VERY little time on my fb newsfeed until this hubbub dies down.

	Moonie just had an encounter with a baby raccoon while she was dumping the vegetable peelings at the edge of the woods. The little one was fairly close to our house. sigh Gonna have to find a non-violent way to convince them that hanging around our house is a bad idea.

	Greetings! We're back from our first trip to Bloomington in the new van and it performed like a champ. We're going to be giving it serious "shakedown" trips before our September vacation so that any problems that might be "waiting to happen" happen before we're on the way to or from Louisville. Next week will likely see us at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, the insurance company and the "paint guy." Tomorrow will be our first payday trip with it and I'm looking forward to folding down the third seat for all the stuff we'll be getting and on Saturday for the "recycling run." Post # 35,450
