	Skywise was apparently a bit of an alarmist this morning. RB's breathing smoothed out and Moonie has had him out lounging in the yard this afternoon. And he's still putting up a fight over being fed.

	RB had a good day today. Moonie took him outside for a while. He was alert and he tried to stalk a butterfly. He even walked a little. Now... it's taking all his strength to breathe and we think his body may be shutting down. If so, there is nothing more we can do. He's still fighting -- our brave little cat -- but this may be too big a foe to fight. We were going to take him to the vet in the morning but he may not last that long. We're preparing ourselves for the worst. We won't let him suffer like Mischief did. I'll post when we know something.

	RB, whose real name was Mikey, entered into Bast's keeping at 8:52 am this morning. As we suspected, his lungs were filling and since he hadn't used the litter box in nearly 24 hours, he might have been going into renal failure as well. His passing was quick and without struggle. The last thing he saw with living eyes was Moonie's face as she looked at him. I'll post his official passing notice later. It requires my best efforts and I'm not at my best right now....

	I've finished Mikey's memorial but I want Skywise to look at it before I post it and he likely won't be home until after midnight so it won't be posted "today". I've put a date on it to keep things straight. Right now, I'm mindlessly doing laundry, washing everything that Mikey came in contact with "in case" and trying to get used to a "new normal" that doesn't include that sweet, devoted little cat....

	Afternoon. The cats seem to all know although Romeo was the only one to directly observe his brother's body. WP, DP and SunLord who have been staying away from our bedroom -- where Mikey decided he wanted to be -- started coming in during the night. WP was on my chest when I fell asleep and DP was sleeping between Skywise and me when he woke up. I'll be finishing up the decontamination laundry today. THEN I get to start on the regular laundry.....

	Everything is FINALLY dry and put away. The house is so quiet now. WP is rubbing against my leg and I think I'll head out for the night and curl up with a book until Skywise gets home. It's been strange not checking on Mikey all the time but I know he's healthy and happy now and that helps ease the pain. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. My left leg is giving me fits today. Every time I put weight on it, it hurts and sometimes feels like it's going to buckle. It made our payday errands difficult to say the least. I'm going to keep my weight off of it as much as I can today in the hope that it will improve. Now to get caught up before I get prone again.

	I managed to get a couple of important things done today so it wasn't a total loss. All that's left to do tonight is make dinner which I will do as soon as I can get the porkburgers apart. Tomorrow after we're back from Greenwood I'll tackle "recyclables" and general disorder -- things that were let slide when Mikey got sick -- and get as much done as my leg will let me. I'm looking forward to seeing Wonder Woman on Sunday. I was prepared to stay home while Skywise took the girls but with Mikey healthy and safe on the Other Side, I can go and enjoy the movie without worrying that he was home sick and alone. That sounds awful, I know but he isn't suffering and I've never believed that death was the end. It is only "change". It is the separation and the absence that hurts.

	Dinner's over. Spent some megabytes to locate a particular type of concrete block we need so we won't waste time running around tomorrow. Skywise has to work so time will be at a premium.
