	Afternoon. So far today, no word. Skywise says that if we don't hear something today, we'll be dropping by the doctor's office tomorrow to see what's up. My "follow up" appointment is the 2nd and we'd kinda like to know the score before then. I just ordered three more cat beds. They're a real hit with the furpersons and three more will give us six which will be positioned around the house so everyone can have a choice.

	At 4:30 the phone rang. It was the hospital. I held my breath and answered. . . . . . It was a recording reminding me about my followup appointment.... I guess we'll be dropping in at the doctor's office tomorrow....

	Afternoon. Well, we went to the doctor's office and the receptionist told us that I'd get my results on the 2nd and that they wouldn't call unless something really serious had turned up in the test. Since no one's hair apparently stood on end when they got my results, we're assuming that whatever my problem is, it is manageable and "PROBABLY" not cancer since I'd think that even "pre-cancerous" would merit a phone call. I'm hoping that my anxiety will settle down now. I'm definitely taking a nap this afternoon...

	After Mikey died, Moonie discovered a company called "Cuddle Clones" that makes life-sized, extremely accurate models of pets from photographs. Mikey's is so lifelike that the first time WP and SunLord saw it they thought it was a real cat. So now that Shadow is gone, Moonie is collecting together every photo we have of her for her Cuddle Clone. They have two standard postures, sitting and lying down. Mikey's clone is "sitting" and I've asked that Shadow's be lying down 'cause when she was with me, she was lying on my chest, on my lap, on my pillow or next to me on the bed. And if she were around and healthy right now, she'd be in my lap purring -- if I was sitting down -- or on my chest -- if I were prone -- 'cause she'd know I was anxious about something and would want to comfort me. Damn, we were lucky to have known her.....

	I didn't get my nap. The damned phone kept ringing and on the off chance that it was something/someone important, I got up and checked the Caller ID. By the time the telemarketers gave up I couldn't "settle" enough to sleep.

	I'm more relaxed than I have been. I know when I'm going to find out my test results. That helps. That and the fact that if it was really bad news, they would have called me so I'm cautiously optimistic that the "Big C" is off the table as a diagnosis. I could be wrong but I really don't think that they'd put off telling me if that were the case. So I'm hoping to get a good night's sleep tonight....

	Afternoon. It's cloudy and cold -- typical late fall weather. We did our usual Saturday stuff this morning which included a trip to the comics shop to pick up the Answer the Call comics I had reserved. I also got Ghostbusters International Vol. 1 and some freebies so I walked out with quite a haul and since I get a discount, I wasn't as broke as I thought I was going to be. Skywise has left for work and I'm going to be curling up with my comic shortly before getting started on my To Do list. The legs are complaining and I need to get prone for a while. Post # 39,139
