	Afternoon. NOT terribly thrilled this morning. For one thing, it's raining -- which I suppose is better than snow or... Gods forbid: ICE! The second thing is that I was awakened early by a call from the doctor's office. My blood work came back and my cholesterol is apparently high enough to require medication. I'll pick up the pills tomorrow. Today, I'm wondering what I can still eat. Avoiding carbs and salt was bad enough....

	If things go like Skywise plans, next Christmas (2022) will be the last one he works. He got home at 5:14 am this morning. With luck, we'll have a chance to enjoy the season in 2023...

	Afternoon. NOT the best day, so far. The only good thing is that my new meds were free. The organizers finally decided to have a "company" dinner on Tuesday which means I'll be spending Monday baking pies. Thank God that "Christmas" is almost over....

	I've just taken an Omega-3 fish oil capsule. I'll take my new medication before I go to bed, as directed. I'm going to need to eat fish twice a week. Guess I'll be getting some use out of the *America's Test Kitchen Foolproof Fish* cookbook I bought a few months ago. Otherwise, I'm going to be getting very tired of canned tuna. It's been raining pretty steadily this evening, no downpours fortunately. LP went out before dark and is still outside somewhere. I hope he's somewhere safe, warm and dry... Skywise hasn't called yet but I'm heading out. I've exhausted the possibilities of the internet tonight. You know it's bad when washing dishes is the most interesting thing going on. 	Evening. Dinner is cooking. We went to the Children's Museum today, paid $120 to get in and while Spirit had fun, it was NOT worth $120! What she and Skywise really wanted to do -- slide down the stairway from the second floor to the atrium -- was closed -- for "health and safety reasons" they said. The Dinosphere was closed too but that was expected, they're in the throes of a massive remodeling of the gallery that won't be done until March. Then the final insult -- the Gift Shop was closed, supposedly because the cash registers were down. We didn't wait around for them to fix it. As we were leaving, we passed a donation box asking for money to help make up the museum's losses due to Covid. After paying $120 I wasn't about to part with another dime. Maybe if the place had been as it was even four years ago but they've completely bought into the leftist "Woke" agenda and until that changes, we won't be members and we'll only be going for specific events, like the Haunted House. 	One pie done -- managed to keep it from burning too much. Damned oven! Second pie is baking. Gonna watch it closely. Filling for the third is made. My right knee is throbbing.... Edited to add: My neck is spasming, my back hurts and I've just taken three ibuprofen. Yes, I hurt THAT BAD!
