	I'm beginning to think that the "big reveal" mentioned above might work better in chapter 14. I'm running into logistical problems putting it in chapter 13. I had an interesting dream this morning which contained advice -- or maybe a reminder -- that I needed. It boiled down to everything's going according to plan (karma works slow but it works!), be patient, keep on track and it will work out like it is supposed to. So I'm gonna be patient, "keep on 'keeping on'" and wait for events to unfold. Meanwhile, I got a book to write....

Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 40s. West winds 15 to 20 mph. Monday Night: mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 5 to 15 mph. Tuesday And Tuesday Night: partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 40s. Lows in the upper 20s. West winds 5 to 15 mph. We brought the planter of strawberry plants into the house. After rampaging through them like a maniac, the SunLord is currently asleep in the planter. And the War Queen just came in.

	collapse Morning. We took off running this morning and managed to get everything done with efficiency and dispatch. Now we won't HAVE to go anywhere until Friday although an optional excursion is entirely possible. They're harvesting the field across the road. The SunLord has decided that since he doesn't like lawnmowers, he REALLY doesn't like combines! Consequently, he's �giving the Hearth Queen a hard time and we keep having to rescue her.

	I am patiently fleshing out a pretty "thin" sequence in the novel. It's going pretty well despite distractions. I keep "hearing" music from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" while I'm working on it. Weird, since while they are in a tomb complex, the dead are resting in peace since their officially recognized successor is escorting the party. Maybe it's because of the atmosphere I'm creating... There are other things on my mind but they aren't worth the trouble to mention.

	I was dangling a piece of macrame cord to distract the SunLord. I got his attention. Then the Hearth Queen got interested. Then SunLord grabbed the cord in his teeth, ran and pulled it out of my hand, dragging the loose end behind him.... with the Hearth Queen in hot pursuit! I have never before seen one cat pull the string for another cat!!

	I didn't think that I'd be able to get much done on the novel today but things are finally starting to come together. I was debating whether or not to keep a plot "wrinkle" that I threw into what will be book two but when I found the perfect place in Chapter 13 to put in "the set up," my decision was made. So, that's done and there will be much emotional agony in Book Two because of it. Not the entire cause but a substantial contributor. While I was making a fresh pitcher of tea the solution to another small problem presented itself. I need to change a name in the final draft and I hadn't found one that I really liked and could live with for the duration of the series. While I was waiting for the water to boil, a name "came" to me. I've been rolling it around and trying it out and it seems perfect so when the time comes, the Find/Change feature in my word processing software will be getting a workout. That change will be the last thing I do before I start shopping it to publishers.

	Work is preceding nicely on Chapter 13. I've added about five pages of new material today and the above mentioned "fly by the seat of our pants" section has shaped up nicely. It can probably do with a few more tweaks but on the whole, it's the way I want it. I'll have to rework some stuff at the end of the chapter because of it but it will be worth it since I was able to "set up" situations that I'm gonna need for Book Two. I keep having the nagging feeling that something is up. It could be the energy this time of year or something else. I don't know but the thought keeps occurring that I should dig out my runes and play "twenty questions." I think I'll get them out and carve out some time for a Q & A session on Friday. Maybe there is something going on that I should know about....

	YAWN! I'm heading out. I've typed so much today that I've worn the nice black nail polish off the tips of my nails. I'm going to have to do them over before Friday. POO! Still, I got a good day's work done so no complaints from this little writer person. I ended up adding about six pages of new material (in addition to deleting some stuff and rewriting some other stuff) to the chapter all told and I still have a ways to go. Looking at another 50+ page chapter. Considering what will have to go into it, Chapter 14 will be a biggie too. Good thing I have two books outlined otherwise I wouldn't know where to stop and I'd be looking at a 1700 page (at least!) manuscript! Yawn! Nite all. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. Skywise is on his way to work and I'm sitting here with Chapter 13 on the desktop and my fringe making materials at hand. I've almost made enough fringe to complete my costume bra. Once I get it all knotted on, I'll put the trim on the backband and then all I'll have left to do on it is redoing some beading that isn't hanging right and making the ornament that will hide the closure in the front. I've been thinking about what I need to write but I've also been thinking about other stuff. I could post about it but I won't. There's no point because hyenas don't change their spots and a good half of them are dead anyway and the rest... well, karma has them in its teeth, is shaking them like a terrier shakes a rat and shows no sign of letting up on them in the foreseeable future. A state of affairs that amuses me no end, or would if I didn't have more important things on my mind right now. "Actions speak louder than words" and I have always let my actions speak for me. It fools no one to "talk the talk" if when the chips are down, you act contrary to your "talk." As always, I'll let my actions speak for me. Enough rambling, Skywise is on his way to work and my "shift" has started too. Time to get seriously busy. Later.

	It has been a productive night. If my calculations are right, I have made enough bead fringe strands to finish my costume bra. I figured out how long my dance skirt needs to be and I've gotten several important "bridges" written. Dinner is almost done and most of my pre-bed chores are done. And the War Queen is in and asleep on my bed. I don't know how much longer I'm going to be working so I'm going to say goodnight now. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	CROM�S TOENAILS! What a morning! I�m glad it�s over. I fully expect the rest of the day to be better! [Hear that, Universe!] I�m gonna be working on what is called a �dungeon crawl� in chapter 13 today although it really isn�t in a dungeon but there is a treasure of sorts at the end. Anyway, I�m going to have to think it through so I�d better get out my ziploc bag of bead fringe strands and my costume bra to work on while I�m trying out various incidents for the crawl. �The �dungeon party� will arrive at their destination intact so I probably won�t be too vicious. Here�s wishing everyone a peaceful Samhain. May it be all you wish it to be.

	Well the cats are in and the War Queen isn't happy. They are all confined to quarters until tomorrow and Her Majesty is yowling about it. sigh She will kill us later. Samhain's going to be quiet. We've got candy, popcorn, soft drinks and scary movies. Spirit has the MGM classics (Dracula with Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff's Frankenstein, Lon Cheney's Wolfman) and if we want something lighter, there is always The Ghostbusters. So we are all set. Other activities -- and I'm not saying that there are any -- planned for tonight are not for posting. The dungeon crawl proceeds nicely. Later.

	The dungeon crawl is going well. The monster has been encountered and the battle is underway. I don't know how long it will be. I'm nearly up to fifty pages and I have a long way to go in this chapter but some stuff is going to be deleted or revised because it no longer fits so that will alter the page count. I'm getting some work in on my bra too -- figuring out the next move in a battle and then deciding how to describe it takes some thought. Right now, I'm going to go make us a bit of dinner. Can't live on Halloween candy, ya know!!

I'm up to fifty pages, the monster is dead and the originator of the plot -- who was never revealed in the original thread -- has been revealed. 	Afternoon. We've been back for a while and I'm already working on Chapter 13. I also have a load a wash in the machine and meat for tonight's dinner and tomorrow night's thawing in the fridge. I can't take credit for getting the chicken out for tomorrow's dinner though. When I took the turkey breast that I bought yesterday for Thanksgiving to the Guest House to put it in the freezer up there, I found that someone -- probably my chicken lovin' offspring Spirit -- had taken a five piece pack of chicken out of the freezer and put it in the fridge. Ahem. I took the hint and brought it down here. I'm going to be making chili tonight. I don't feel like fussing a lot with dinner tonight. Okay, I need to put on my thinking cap to write this next bridge. Catch ya later.

	The bridge is coming along, three loads of laundry are done and I have only 55 more strands of bead fringe to put on my costume bra. I haven't decided which part of my costume to tackle next, the belt or the skirt. The skirt will be 'fiddly' to make. It's a simple style but my sewing machine doesn't handle really delicate/sheer fabrics well so I'm going to have to sew it by hand. I'm going to try to 'trick' my machine into sewing the casing for the elastic and the bias tape on the hem but I don't know if it will work. As far as the belt is concerned, I know what I want for the 'centerpiece' of the belt but the design is still evolving. I haven't decided if it will have bead fringe to match the bra or not. It should have some but not as much as is on the bra..... And I've added to chapter 13 while working on this post. hehehehe Later.

	Moonie was just outside and she informs us that a deer is bedding down in the backyard. That probably explains why I sometimes find large smashed down places in the four o'clocks on the south side of the house during the summer. Skywise is playing with the Wii, saving the world from the Nazi Menace and the SunLord keeps grabbing for the Wii controllers... hehehehe The little guy is cute. This is probably my last post of the night. I'm feeling sleepy and there's laundry on the bed that needs to be put away. The bridge I'm writing is almost finished and I'll probably do better with it tomorrow anyway so I'm heading out. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Afternoon. Skywise woke up with a cold this morning. He says he feels like but he said I looked "tempting" while I was changing clothes so I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to need to call the EMTs anytime soon! I was looking through the new "Mac" magazine that came yesterday. There is definitely a blood red iPod Nano in the new generation that Apple has just released. Bad case of "AppleLust" here. I GOTTA HAVE ONE!!! begins plotting, planning and scheming! I haven't seen it in the stores yet but with the holiday shopping season nearly upon us, I expect to soon. I got a bright idea about how to solve a problem with my costume bra. The "coins" don't want to hang right and I think I've figured out how to fix the problem. I'll give it a try today and see how it works. I also need a drawing template to make the graphic I want for my MySpace profile. Gotta 'google' and see if it even exists. If it does, I'll have to schedule a trip to Office Depot and/or United Art and Education. First, design the graphic and then work on how to get it where I want it! I'm about ready to pull Chapter 13 up and start working on it. I've got a good idea where I want to go with it today if the words will just cooperate! Later.

	I may lose my mind. Skywise is sick. According to Spirit, Daddy isn't supposed to be sick. He is supposed to take us all into town so she can shop. (The signlemindedness of the autistic.) She is going to INSIST that Daddy be healthy so we can go into town and she can shop. If INSISTING would make it so, I'd tell her to "GO FOR IT!" but insisting never made a head cold go away. sigh At least the words are cooperating and it looks like the idea I had for my bra is working. I'm going to temporarily tie the coins on and try it on. A few chest lifts and shoulder shimmies should tell me if it is going to work like I want it to. hehehehe And I'll get Skywise's opinion about how it looks. hehehehe

	I'm about halfway through Chapter 13. Presently wrestling with a situation and it isn't being very cooperative. After a bunch of false starts, I think I've figured out how to fasten the coins to my bra in a way that will allow them to move like I want. Hope so, anyway. I'm running out of ideas. Having a bad "missing Sam" night. I've been crying. Managed to stop, just barely, 'cause I need to get dinner started. The time change has thrown me off. The clocks in the house are all reset but my wristwatch and Skywise's aren't yet. Every time I look at my wrist, I think it's later than it is. I plan to vote against the governor that shoved DST down our throats. He's probably going to be re-elected but it is going to happen without my vote. This isn't getting dinner going....

	Yawn I'm heading out. Chapter 13 is up to 51 pages and I've passed the halfway point. The next section I'm working on may see some substantial cuts since Our Heroine may not reveal quite so much in the book as she did in the thread! Other sections will likely have material added so it should all even out in the end. Yawn again Anyway, everyone sleep well and be safe.
