	Unmentionables are in the dryer taking for-ev-er to dry. sigh Got a few other little chores done, put away my archery target for the year. 	I'm back. I crashed but didn't sleep. It helped a little but at least I was able to puzzle out how to build the special wooden storage box I want [24" wide x 48" long x 16" deep] without having to buy special tools which tend to be expensive. I will need to get some bar clamps but I really should have those anyway. Now all I need is the wood and enough floor space in the basement to build it! Fortunately, the need is NOT yet critical. And in other news... COLTS WIN YET AGAIN!!!!!! Don't know how long this is going to last -- all the way through the Super Bowl, I hope! -- but I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts!

	Dinner's over. It was simple, fast and good. Nike's fixing her dinner right now and I'm cooling my heels on YaHoo until she settles in front of her comp with her plate. Discovered that someone planned a massive subdivision about a mile or so down the road to the south. I found this out by checking out the previously mentioned weather radar this evening. There is no mistaking the design of the road that someone cut and paved way back into the woods. [Skywise and I met while working for a civil engineering/architectural firm that did a LOT of sub-division work and we know what a sub-division looks like "from the air"!] We suspect that the project fell through because there hasn't been a big enough increase in traffic that would point to an extra 200 - 250 houses more or less in the immediate area. Now that the bottom has fallen out of the housing market, I sincerely hope that whoever planned that eyesore went bankrupt. Yeah. I want fewer neighbors, not more! I spotted a lot of McMansions down the road and tucked into the woods too. Hoping for some foreclosures there too! You're right. I'm in my "park me and mine in the middle of a 100 mile circle of underpopulated real estate and LEAVE US ALONE!" mood tonight.....

	Nike and I are solving the world's problems. Too bad we aren't in charge! Thinking about "stuff" and such. Also thinking that I need to educate myself on the basics of brewing beer. At least enough so that when my friend tells me what he's doing, I know what he's talking about!

	Afternoon. FINALLY got all of the shopping that was supposed to be done on Friday done! �Consequently, we won't have much to do tomorrow when we take the girls' checks into town to cash them. This is a good thing. Right now, I'm needing tea. The Burger King's drink station was out of Coke! Later!

	Making headway in the "post-cookathon" cleanup. All the leftover leftovers went out in this morning's trash pickup so I had all the pots, pans and whatever to wash. I've just about got it all done. I have everything crammed into the dishwasher that will fit so I'm going to find something else useful to do while it's running! Should be something around here that needs doing.. or I could just catch my breath! Yeah....

	Finally getting some writing on Book 3 done. Today's been busy, starting with a late dash into town to cash the girls' checks and continuing straight through. I had some ideas unrelated to Book 3 that I needed to get set down and that took a big chunk of the afternoon. With that "stuff" out of the way, I can concentrate on the book now. Tomorrow's gonna be laundry day so I'll have time between loads to figure out the things that need figuring out. I STILL have to figure out how to get Our Heroine's Little Brother on his horse and "out of town" on his adventure and who to send with him and who is gonna shred that pesky female I have to get rid of like so much tissue paper.... Ah.. something pleasant to think about! Much rolling around of ideas in my head in my immediate future! And I STILL need a name for that damned plant! snark! Later.

	Been yakking with Nike on YaHoo, fixing and eating dinner and working on Book 3/Chapter 2. I'm rapidly coming up on what was written "live" on Christmas Eve/Day in '05. Surprising as hell at the time, it was fun to write although the real life fallout wasn't so fun. If I had known then what I know now, I would not have written it differently but when the certain threats were made, I should have called the bluff. I won't make that mistake again, that's for sure! Anyway, it's the "payoff" the readers have been waiting for and it has to be right. Fortunately, I can take my time to get it perfect. giggle Hopefully, the printed pages won't ignite once the text is out of the computer! Since it's late and my eyes are burning, I'm gonna tuck it away for the night. Almost three years since it was written.. Think I'll listen to some music and remember... Later. �

	Morning. Things are off to a quiet start so far which is good. I had a revelation last night that simplifies matters enormously. I also played 20 Questions with the runes last night. The results were uniformly good and extremely encouraging so Iz a happy writergirlperson today! Now, I need to be useful. Back later.

	Stretch! CRACK! I'm working on the tail end of Chapter 1 and the beginning of Chapter 2. Thinking that I'm going to have to tear out about a page and a half and completely rewrite it in order to set the opening scene of Chapter 2 up properly. �It's a shame since the stuff I wrote originally is pretty good but the needs of the story must come first. So.. I gotta figure out how to change it... But first, I gotta back Skywise's food.

	I'VE GOT IT!! Or at least, I've got most of it! I know what it is, I just have to write it. Now all I need to do is "cast" the part of the treacherous, evil, vile, soulstealing little parasite who will waltz into Book 4 and turn everything upside down! Gotta love foreshadowing! And for the record, she wasn't my idea although I have fleshed her out and figured out how she does what she's going to do. Now.... what actress to cast in the part..... Kate Hudson, maybe...

	Floral Gulch it was! Had a Subway sub for breakfast and picked up a few things at Target. I didn't do much shopping. Skywise found my present there and I was instructed to stay pretty much in one spot until he had it hidden in the van. Besides, I'm still trying to think of something to get him that he doesn't already have!
