When the boyfriend and his best friend got their tongues pierced, they whined for days about the pain.  Now, I've got mine pierced, and everyone is surprised when I say it doesn't hurt.  Because it doesn't.  The swelling is quite annoying, but it's not painful.  I feel like my mouth is full all the time, and trying to eat is just a no-go.

I've noticed that "most" men seem to have a lower tolerance for pain than most women do. Of course, having one's insides feel like they are trying to tear themselves out of your body every four weeks or so might have something to do with building up a certain tolerance for pain.  Grin

BF was a BABY when he got his tongue pierced LMAO  Moaning and groaning and whining... wonder if he realizes how lucky he is to have GF who happily waited on him hand and foot while he was whining so much  Grin

Me?  I knew what to expect.  And I know how to deal with the side effects of the tongue piercing.  Stocked up on Motrin and Tylenol beforehand, because I know they help A LOT.

Have woke up the last several mornings with The Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga stuck in my head.  Finally playing it so that it can stop running through this crazy brain of mine.

Missing the BF terribly today as well.  Dreamed of him all night...

Swelling of the tongue has gone down a lot.  Not completely gone, but it will be in a day or two.  I heal very, very fast.

After finally succeeding in getting my tea made, I'm going through my list of remaining literary agents looking for the next unfortunate to be subjected to one of my query letters. *sigh* My work probably isn't "literary" enough to sign with the outfit I would really LOVE to be with so I'm looking at others where my chances might be better.

Having a freak out sort of day... bad enough I'm having dreams of weddings and babies, both forbidden topics, but my roommate is having the same dreams about me having a wedding and babies...  Ugh...  Need brain bleach... so not the weddings and babies type of person.

Yes, well, Uni needs to take into consideration that weddings and babies would NOT be sensible at this time.  There are other factors to consider.  Like his age.  And the fact I don't even have a clue how HE feels about weddings and babies.
