Morning!

I'm here for a little bit then I'll be offline WRITING!!!  Smiley Smiley Smiley Yep, it's another writing marathon day for Veridian! I'm hoping to move on in Chapter 36 and wrap it up with another *AHEM* "good" scene and hopefully start Chapter 37, in which I'm hoping to get more of the buildup to the big scene for Crash and Burn.

I'm getting closer to finishing draft 1! hehehehe...

Time to get caught up and get things organized. I'm here for another couple of hours then I'll be zooming offline for a few hours. WOOT!!  Smiley

Veridian is ALONE in the house and this is the first time I've felt comfy having that last scene from NR open in plain view....

Hmm... the signs were right.

He called and came home yesterday.  He's in counseling, and will be continuing it.  He's looking for a job.  He's even sitting down with everyone and talking to them about everything.

He was going just as nuts as I was, and even kept seeing and hearing a lot of the same signs.

He had tears in his eyes and his voice cracked when we first saw each other.  He'd lost weight, too.

His parents had been pushing him to join the military and just disappear from my life for good.  He went to take the ASVAB yesterday, and missed it by one point.  He took it as a sign to come home to me, and called me.  Asked if there was anywhere we could both stay, and I said he could come home.  I went and picked him up, and I was just so happy to see him.

We talked and talked and talked and talked, and we're still talking about things.

Now the hard work starts but the talking is a good first step.

*sigh* I think I'm going to have to start wrapping my thumb in bandage tape whenever I pick up my paring knife. I've cut the ball of my thumb deep enough to bleed while cutting up celery and carrots -- AGAIN.

Uni is so funny.  It turns out J was receiving his own signs as well.  Some the same as mine, like the yellow cars, and others that were different.

For instance, there's the new movie Frankenweenie coming out, and he said that every time he turned on the TV, the commercial for that would come on, and it drove him nuts, because my nickname around here is Weenie.  He even swore out loud about it once, with his brother right there, and his brother asked him what that was about.  He told him that was my nickname, and his brother just laughed.

I'm back. The "thunder" part of the proceedings has moved out although we're still getting periods of heavy rain.
At a guess, I'd say the drought is over at least for the moment.
