Freeze warning for tomorrow night. Gonna be winterizing my rose bush tomorrow. And the darn thing is JUST NOW starting to really take off. I should have some beautiful flowers next year if we don't have another drought.

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so Hubby let me sleep in... I woke up with our kitty cuddled up to my side, purring away. She's my black and orange striped teddy bear.

I'm here for the day... Hubby works a half shift tonight, until 7, so Son will be playing video games on the TV while I'm working here and working on NR in some fashion.

Coffee and catch up time.

Temps are in the 50s (high teens Celsius) over here and it's sunny for a change. I'm hoping this kind of weather lasts right into November or December, we get enough days that are like a deep freeze as it is in southern Canada.........

Crap on that Penth. We're lucky at the moment, most years it's a lot cooler than it has been lately in my area.

I'm playing Bejeweled in FB while waiting for scene three of Chapter 38 to fully "gel".... Hmm..............

If that's what it takes to finally motivate J to get the help he needs then, in the long run, it will be worth it. Couples' counseling is a good idea. An impartial third party can be invaluable in seeing things in a relationship that the people involved and their friends can't.

I'm working on something to be inserted into Book 2 -- an erotic encounter between the Heroine's brother and a scheming "female dog with no morals" who wants to use him to get control of his sister and her castle.

Don't worry, hehehe, she gets hers in Book 3.....

I may be biased but it looks like this insert will require cold showers or some other sort of "relief" when it is read. particularly if the reader has a vivid imagination about such things.....

It's odd how some people react to things.  My dad abused my mom for the entire duration of their marriage; it's why she finally left.  I have memories of a violent and scary childhood.

It took years for my dad to get control of himself, and ultimately, it was a fight with my now stepmother that forced that control on him.  He slapped her once, and she left.  He had to change to get her back.

And yet, he's the one that's telling me that J will never change.  My mom, who put up with years of abuse from my dad is the one telling me she'll support whatever decision I make, as long as I make the decision with my eyes wide open.  Which of course, I am making this decision fully aware of all possible outcomes.

I have my first counseling appointment tomorrow, and J has asked that when I go, I set up an appointment for him, and he wants to know if he can come into some of my counseling sessions with me so that he can better learn to cope with my mood disorder (dysthymia, cyclothymia, and hypomania), and he wants me to go to some of his counseling sessions to help me learn to cope with his bipolar disorder.  He also wants to see a marriage counselor, and as I said, he wants to do a marriage retreat.

I kind of laugh at everyone who was insisting we'd need a year apart before he'd realize how much he needed to change.  I knew the next day that he would do anything to get me back, but I had to work hard on my end to get everyone here to let him come back, and that did take me a couple weeks.

I've been distracted, that scene at the end of Chapter 38 will NOT gel and it's driving me BONKERS!!! 

Giving up on that and doing a reread of Part 2...

Oh, this week is going to be fun... I have a counseling appointment tomorrow, driving my niece to the dentist in the afternoon.  J has an eye doctor appointment Tuesday, and we're hoping they can fit me in the same day.  Then Friday, I have a cardiology appointment.

On top of that, we're making J a counseling appointment so he can switch to the same office that I'm in, which makes it easier on us all around.
