Eyes hurty... I may take off when Hubby gets home from work in an hour or so.

Anytime you need to take off, go ahead. I know how it is when the eyes go wonky.

I think I have the elastic untwisted and now I'm working out how to make the cover fit tighter. My ironing board was hand made and isn't exactly modern "industry standard" as far as size goes...

She may be shorthaired but like Sunlord, her fur is VERY thick and so soft.

She's now passed out on top of my zip up Leafs sweater. If she's not sleeping on my stuff, she's snoozing on top of Son's jackets. She does love that child, and the feeling is mutual. He gets really happy when she curls up on the chair beside him and purrs like crazy.

She is one VERY spoiled kitty!

Okay, thanks. I think I'm overdoing it again even with the monitor's brightness and contrast turned WAY down and the sunglasses on. I hope our income tax check comes back soon, so I can get to the optometrist and get the new glasses ordered. *SIGH*

I might have to do a little "fine tuning" but the ironing board cover is done and it's currently in the washer getting all the "sewing marks" washed out. I'm going to make the "dust cover" next and then I'll start making the sleeve roll and the tailor's hams. Or if I don't feel that ambitious, I'll start making pressing cloths. By the time I have those little projects done my brain should be refreshed enough to start on Book 4.

I did some checking for some specific errors [and found some] and got through the entire manuscript this evening. YAY ME! And since Skywise is home and dinner's over, I'm heading out while I can still see!

Morning...

I'm only in for a bit... Busy day ahead for the family! We'll be leaving in about an hour and forty five minutes at the latest. Son will be appearing in the Knowledge Festival at one of the local high schools today and his grade appears first thing this morning!

We'll be running errands and visiting my inlaws after we're done so I'm not sure what time I'll be home.

Time to quickly get caught up and get a coffee into me........

My son didn't just have fun today, he did better than we could ever imagine...

Out of all the students that participated in the Grade 2 division of the Mental Math competition, my son didn't just do wonderfully...

Ugh. Sad Allergies stink!

They'll be there when you're ready to see them. I think my mom found out how well my son did today because both my sister and her boyfriend saw the bragging rights status on my white rose profile.

Nite, hon.

I am NOT happy.
I finished my ironing board cover last night and washed it -- in COLD water -- and dried it. I just now attempted to put it on the ironing board, "attempted" being the operative word.
Last night it fit perfectly.
Tonight it is nearly two inches too short.
There there "may" be a way to salvage it. If not, I'll have to start over.

I followed the instructions that Skywise found and now we'll see if they worked. If not, I'll alter the pattern to allow for obscene shrinkage and start over.  It's a little early but I'm tired so I'm heading out.
