Afternoon.
It's cloudy, cool with intermittent rain so I did some serious sleeping in this morning. First thing to do to check the ironing board cover and then make some tea and get a bite to eat.

hehehehehe Last night, we soaked the ironing board cover in a solution to relax the fibers and "undo" the shrinkage. Then, with much sweat, strain and strong language, we stretched it until we were able to get it on the ironing board and clamped that sucker down so it wouldn't slip off. During this process, curious little girlcats watched the proceedings. I just went downstairs and looked and a number of little pawprints are impressed in the now almost dry ironing board cover. It appears that the little nosy ones inspected our work after we called it a night last night....

I'm plugging through the manuscript and I HAVE found a couple of corrections that I missed the first time and another couple of places where a different word improved the sentence. I'm more than halfway through the manuscript so I'll get it finished today.

Reasonably caught up with WD and now I'm thinking about Book 4 and the "remodeling" I want to do on the castle. The castle "arcade" was put in the original design before it came here and the more I think of it, the more I think that the castle is unlikely to have a room dedicated to electronic gaming. I haven't even decided if it even exists on Samgara.

I'm also thinking about the plot of Book 4 which can be summed up in a couple of paragraphs at most and how to fill it out to a respectably sized book. I've introduced a new "team" in Book 3 that I really should use in Book 4 since the situation would be perfect for them..... And I need to use the Daughters of the Blood Rose AND tie off a couple of plot threads I've let dangle while I found the ideal place to deal with them and most satisfying way to "kill them dead!" One of them hasn't had much "screen time" so he will need to be fleshed out before he's incinerated or decapitated or shredded like so much boiled chicken. THAT "filling in" should account for a nice pile of pages. Smiley

Morning. We're back from the appointments. Son is back at school and I'm gearing up for a quick reread of everything in FP today so I'm ready to roll in Chapter 9 Scene 2 tomorrow during my writing day.

We like dandelions too. Along with violets and any other odd plant, including the native cactus, that springs up in our yard -- except poison ivy -- much to the bewilderment of the neighbors and the lawn care guys that show up from time to time trying to sell us their services.
