	When PD doesn't answer, Penth looks back to see that her little sister has fallen asleep. Penth checks her vital signs, makes her comfortable where she is and lets her sleep.

	Not trusting the precious bullet to a courier, Penth takes it to her friend's lab herself leaving the minions to guard PD. No one had been more surprised than Penth when half of the minions who had once served their Sire had shown up on their doorstep shortly after they had relocated and informed them that they would be taking up their former duties at the new NightClub. Penth rather suspected that they were there for PD alone but were too diplomatic to say so. Her parting from her Sire had left no doubt in her mind that he did not care if she survived another hour or not but he had no reason to wish PD ill. So Penth had agreed and the minions had taken up their duties exactly as they had at their former home. Penth was careful not to impose on them and they were careful to treat her with distant respect. She had not recruited any minions of her own. She supposed that she would eventually but it didn't seem right at present. For now, she knew that they would defend PD with their lives if needed and that was all she asked. That. And that they not put a knife in her back on her Sire's orders....

	After a couple of more hours of muttering, Penth's friend gave her the rundown of the very high tech bullet that had knocked PD for a loop. Made of special "space age" materials with a hollow core, it had been loaded with a sedative/muscle relaxant apparently tailored to affect the undead. Penthesilea was grateful that she had used a portal to arrive and would use another to leave and that her friend's magical and mundane defenses were second to none. Still, she put her own protection and alarm spells around him and his home before she left. She would take no chances with her friend. The leaders of the various vampire factions needed to be informed of this development since it was aimed specifically at their kind. That would be her next stop.

	Shortly after her conversation with PD, Penth was called into her audience with the vampire Lord. He was a handsome, virile man and he found Penth attractive so a certain amount of flirting and small talk was necessary before Penth was able to get to the reason for her visit. Once she did, the lord's attitude changed and he started making phone calls. Penth leaned back in her chair and relaxed slightly. People with far more resources than she had were now on the case and she could relax a bit and concentrate on her little sister and the upcoming MMA match.

	Well, I'm out of my meeting and the wheels are turning. We'll let the Heads of the Houses worry about this for the moment. Maybe it will cut down on the inter-House infighting for a while. I'll be there as soon as I can find a private place to build a portal.

I'll be there soon but if you pull that wound open again, I'm gonna paddle your butt!* Penth had found a deserted ladies' room and with a temporary spell on the door to keep anyone from entering, she build the portal and departed for the NightClub, dropping the spell on the door as she left.

	don't worry, I'm not, I'm beating them up the longer way, which is actually a better stress reliever she says, sending a dummie flying to the ground after 3 punches, then picks it back up, reattaches it and sends it flying with a few kicks instead

	Penth arrives in the gym. We need to find someone to help you work on your "ground game". Sooner or later, someone is going to take you to the mat and it would be nice if you can capitalize on it.
