	Working on dinner and Chapter 11. For a change, Our Hero isn't the one getting the action! It's Our Heroine and I'm deciding how detailed this encounter is going to be. Book 2 is short of "bedroom action" -- plenty of other kinds though but still! -- and I may need to do something about that. I've got time to decide and dinner needs my attention right now. Later.

	Well, now I've seen Helio cross the Yard of Bricks, climb the fence -- although the safety crew tried to stop him -- and drink the milk so it's official. Helio Castroneves has won his third Indianapolis 500. Now it's on to Milwaukee!

	Tired. Heading out. I got some of the preliminary work done on Chapter 11. The cognitive functions were too scattered today to get much done in the way of creativity but given the distractions, I'm pleased with what I got done. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Morning. We had a thunderstorm this morning around 6. Nothing major just noise and rain. It's cool now and damp which isn't a comfortable combination but it is better than "hot and damp" which it was yesterday! The race and attendant activities are over with so it can rain all week if it wants to. I noticed that in parts of the yard, the ground is cracking which is a pretty good indication that we need some. Skywise is working today so it'll be a 'regular' day for us except that there will be no mail delivery. Need tea and a bite to eat. Catch ya later. Post #12,900

	Wwwaaayyyy later! Right after I made that post ^ �we found out that we were in the "penalty box" with HughesNet again. sigh So all the computers -- except for the one that has the "dial up" option have been off all day. I didn't even work on the book 'cause I didn't want a single 'bit' to be credited to us while we were "in the box." The only reason I'm on now is because we're in the "all you can download free" period right now. I came on to make this post, make sure the place was still here and to buy some airtime for my tracfone! I will now head out 'cause I'm sleepy! We should be out of the box by noon or thereabouts... We're going to have to speak to the vet about scheduling the Prince of Midnight's "snipsnip." Young Sir is trying to mount the SunLord who is taking an extremely dim view of the entire proceeding! It looks funny 'cause the Prince is about half SunLord's size at the moment but Golden Boy doesn't see the humor. giggle I don't even want to think about what's gonna happen if the little hairball jumps the War Queen! She just might make the "snipsnip" unnecessary! Although the way SunLord's tall is switching.... Anyway, everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Our Heroine is considering seducing a man other than her beloved and I find myself working on getting around some of the "ingrained" attitudes of our society in order to write it. The "personal action" won't be that hard to write, it's the "run-up" where she's thinking about it that's giving me a bit of trouble. Will listen to music, put the laundry in the dryer and think! See Penth going to the mat with ingrained societal attitudes about relationships and "proper" behavior....

	I'm hot. Literally. I just finished my walk -- 40 minutes worth. I think I'll take Ginnosasori out with me tomorrow. I need to get reaccustomed to her weight if I'm going to dance with her. I may dance with Hellion eventually but not in the near future. For one thing, I have to finish assembling her. Since I'll only have one shot at getting it right, I'm taking my time! I think Our Heroine has mulled over the abovementioned situation sufficiently.I may tweak it a little more come Second Draft but I'm satisfied at the moment. I'm off to get a cold drink. Later.

	For the curious, I went looking and found this picture. As near as I can tell, it is the same sword as Ginnosasori, which means "Silver Scorpion" if I've put the Japanese words together correctly. Details are here:http://budk.com/antique-silver-ninja-sword/p/46%20UC1284/c/6032/

	Things are coming along nicely. I've got a couple of longish pieces I'm going to have to write. A Certain Someone sprang a surprise on me in what will be Book 3 and I had to backpedal like mad to explain it at the time. THIS time, it's going in the narrative where it belongs although it won't be until the first part of Book 3 that the reader finds out exactly what Aphrodite has been up to in Book 2! [NOTHING NAUGHTY!! That comes later..... ] There is another situation that has to be rewritten because of a character "re-do" and I haven't quite decided how to go about it although I'm thinking that "the cats did it!" � This is because they "do it" so well.... Gonna grab a little snack and then get back at it. Later. �

	Still working. The sun is almost down and it is FINALLY starting to cool off. I have a large fan sitting in front of the back door pulling in air from outside and it's cooling off the inside of the house. We're putting off turning on the A/C for as long as possible. The longer we can delay those A/C inflated electric bills, the better! Anyway, now that the house is cooling off I'm going to get a few little chores done. Later.

	Right now, I wish I had a laptop. I'm on a roll writing wise and it's thundering. I'll have to check to see how close it is and how soon it's likely to get here. If I had a laptop, I could take my memory stick out of this one, put it in the laptop and keep on typing. Maybe after I sell the first book.....

	Still waiting for the "sound and fury" to get here. According to the radar we were sitting under a big yellow/orange blob about an hour ago but it was then and is now, quiet and dry. sigh Another one is on the way. Dinner will be done soon so that will be off my mind. I need to consult the map for something in Chapter 10. I discovered that I needed to "backtrack" a bit when I went to fill out the event calendar for Book 2. I really should make some smaller scale maps. Waiting for the next storm is making me tense. sigh Skywise should be getting off work in a few more minutes. I hope he gets home before things get nasty. Later -- I hope.

	It is now raining, very quietly and gently. That's the best kind of rain to have, of course. I just wish it had forgone the noisy buildup and saved my nervous system some stress! This sword is named Shandara, which means "Foe of Evil."

	It took a little doing but here's a picture of my third "store bought" sword. It's an official "Zorro" sword from the movies. They went out of production but have apparently been brought back now in a more expensive edition so I'm glad I grabbed it when I did! This one is named "Plata de la Zorra" which translates as "Silver Vixen" since "Zorro" means "fox" in Spanish and "Zorra" is the feminine form of the word. �I won't be able to post a picture of Hellion until I get her finished. I'm hoping someday soon to be brave enough to attempt to finish her. Here's the link to the description. 	Morning! The Prince of Midnight has a vet appointment in about 90 minutes for his next round of baby cat shots. 	I'm working on the "backtrack" in Chapter 10 and it's just about done. I took a little break since chewing on this uncooperative bit of dialog wasn't getting me anywhere and I started reading random blogs.... Oh my! The lengths people will go to cover up their insecurities! I have to laugh, I really do! No names, of course. I'm not going to embarrass anyone but Blessed Mother of Gods! Oh well, exposure to the 'real world' will likely knock some of the nonsense out of them and if it doesn't, "older and wiser heads" probably will and none too gently, I'll wager! The world, real or online, usually doesn't have much patience with self-aggrandizing pontificating, even if it is in a blog and when you leave the link laying around where anyone can click it, you're just asking for whatever any random stranger decides to leave in your comment column! "Talking tough" is even less well received. Those who can wipe the floor with whomever asks for it don't need to brag about it. The rest are scared little kids. Ah well, that dialog still needs to be written and this scene wrapped up. Back to work for me! Later.

	The backtrack is finished. My walk -- 50 minutes worth -- is finished. One of the major pieces I need for Chapter 11 is almost finished. And as soon as I'm finished with this glass of tea, I'm heading for the kitchen to start getting ready to start dinner. All in all, a good afternoon.
