	LP has been inside since Wednesday night. He has been meowing constantly -- except when he's eating or sleeping -- to be let out. IT'S TOO DAMNED COLD, CAT!!! When it's warm enough -- probably Tuesday or Wednesday -- we'll let him out and hope he comes back before the weather turns cold again.

	Dinner is FINALLY done and eaten. Note to self: next Christmas take the roast out of the freezer a day or two before Christmas so the damned thing is thawed! The cats are getting on each others' nerves. It should be warm enough on Wednesday, maybe Tuesday, to kick them all outside.

	Afternoon. It's finally warm enough to let the cats out. LP was overjoyed after 5 days of being cooped up in the house and letting us know it. After he went out, we slept in and I'll be taking a nap later to recoup the sleep I lost to his insistent attempts to go out my bedroom window. Skywise has the day off so it's gonna be a "relatively" lazy day since I still have to cook today.

	Afternoon. Skywise was on his way to work. "Was" being the operative word. He is currently stuck on the side of the road, the Dinkmobile is smoking and the anti-freeze is leaking out. The tow truck is being called. I HATE CHEVYS!!!!

	Skywise got home -- the tow truck dropped him off -- and he took the van to work. He'll be late but he'll get there and we'll probably need the money to pay for car repairs.

	I've put everything that can go into the dishwasher right now, in and it's running. I'll wash what can't go in -- aluminum cookie pans -- when the cycle is over. I should find something to eat but I'm too tired right now. I'll get something later.

	Afternoon. Skywise is on his way to work with the cookies I made last night. More sugar and butter is in the oven softening. I'm making shortbread so the butter has to be really soft. My left leg has been hurting like hell. I took a "prescription sized" dose of ibuprofen as soon as I'd eaten but it takes a while to work so I'm sitting down until it does.

	Afternoon. Back from a short supply run and lunch. Already got a couple of things on my "To Do" list done. Waiting for a book to be delivered. Amazon says it will be delivered today. The Post Office says "Huh?" I'm not optimistic about getting my book today which was supposed to arrive two days ago.

	Working my way through the disaster that is my kitchen. It's slow going given that my ability to stand up for any length of time is limited but I'll keep plugging away at it. I look forward to my turn under the knife, even though I know it will be painful. I just want to be able to stand/walk again without having to sit down every few minutes.

	My kitchen still looks like a disaster BUT is is less of a disaster than it was. I've discovered -- much to my intense disgust -- that several bags of flour that I'd sealed for long(ish) term storage did not seal completely and air has leaked in. I won't be buying flour for a while since that flour will need to be used rather than stored.

	Afternoon. Woke up this morning, attempted to straighten my left leg and nearly screamed. Yes, it hurt that badly. I managed to straighten it and get out of bed. The pain has eased up some and I'm putting off taking anything for as long as I can. I'll see how it goes as the day wears on.

	LP came in about 45 minutes ago and hopped into my lap for a nap after chowing down. While he was there -- he's currently in the chair next to me. -- I discovered that the wound from his last visit to the vet had been stitched! I felt something odd when I was stroking his leg and felt "something". I looked closer and I could see the stitch coming out. We knew that it had been infected but had no idea that his injury was big enough to need that. I'll be glad when we can have him neutered so the need to "establish dominance" will diminish once his hormones settle down.
