	The first wave has passed us and Skywise is on his way to work. Most of the standing water has drained out of the front yard and the path down to the creek looks like a small stream...

	It's been quiet and I took the opportunity to take a nap since it may be lively tonight. There's a tornado watch out for the far western side of the state. We're not included but that could change as the evening wears on. Right now, I need to wash dishes and start on the driveway redesign drawings....

	It's been a "busy" night. Skywise is home. He had to take the "scenic route" home due to flooded roads. He also reports that a very large (30 to 35 feet) piece of the persimmon tree next to the top of the driveway has broken off and is blocking the driveway. One of the poplar trees has lost a limb too. I don't think we'll be going into town in the morning..... sigh I'm gonna head out now. Everyone sleep well and be safe.

	Greetings from Swampy Central Indiana. Skywise and the girls have the driveway cleared. The piece of persimmon tree that came down wasn't the big one at the top of the driveway but one that is about 40 to 50 feet down the driveway so it wasn't blocking the road. The ground is thoroughly saturated and there is standing water everywhere. The yard is sloped in most places so the water is running off but it is going to take a while. sigh I'm hoping that the rain will hold off for a few days to let things dry out. Famine (drought) to feast (downpours.....)

	The cast iron pipe that led to the Guest House's (fortunately) unused septic tank that the discharge pipe to the sump pump emptied into broke and flooded the Guest House basement. It broke because the discharge pipe for the septic was covered by 2 to 3 inches of dirt. While Skywise got two sump pumps running to drain the basement, I uncovered the outlet and dug a ditch about 9 - 10 feet long in the direct sun. I am too hot....

	I took some aspirin while we were in town -- we stopped at Burger King for a snack -- and it has helped but I'm tired and my left knee STILL hurts so I'm going to get prone for a while before I start dinner. Be back later.

	Greetings. I've spent the morning doing what I needed to do yesterday but didn't cause of all the storm related problems. I'm still not caught up and I still have some "storm stuff" to do although those chores aren't as "RED ALERT EMERGENCY!!!!!!!" as things were yesterday. I'm taking a tiny break right now to work on the driveway layouts that I started working on Monday night and put aside when the weather got "interesting." Also, there is tea....

	And another two pairs of muddy jeans later, the pipe from the old septic is uncovered and unclogged. There's another drain outlet that needs to be uncovered but Moonie and I were getting TOO hot. I will now put more tea and ice in my cup and get prone while the washer runs.

	Skywise isn't home yet but I'm tired, my knees ache (aspirin notwithstanding) and my left eye is burning. (Yeah, back to THAT again.) 	Greetings. Skywise got home right after I made my last post and it was a good thing he did. I tried to get up from the chair I was in (armless dining room chair) and discovered that I couldn't get up. It took a little effort but we got me up and my legs are much better today than they were last night! I think I'm going to put off any further "clean up" in the yard until the weekend or Monday to give my knees a chance to recover!

	Greetings. We're back from "payday shopping" and the afternoon will be spent putting "stuff" away. Lots of stuff. TONS of stuff. Or at least it looks like tons at the moment! It can't be that much since we didn't have to put the backseat down in the van. For the moment though, I'm gonna get cooled off -- it's gonna be a hot one -- and get caught up.

	The thunder is apparently coming from a large "pop-up" to the north, northeast of us. It isn't moving this way.....
